The Korean War lasted three years. 1951-53. In all of the 11 seasons how many years passed in the show... I'll give you a hint. Three winters passed in the first season...

god knows!! I stopped trying to follow the "MASH" timeline YEARS ago. Therre's just too many inconsistancies.
And then the ep. "A War for all Seasons" just blew the whole thing way out of proportion!
Not to mention, it was the longest Korean war ever.

When I compare historical fiction to real life, I figure that the characters didn't really exist in that war, nor all the happenings, so if something goes wrong in comparison to truth, it's as if it wasn't the same Korean War, maybe one "in a galaxy far, far away". Space is infinite, the likeliness can't be measured...Just a little something from my um, mind. ;} Also, As with things happening out of order, who knows when each episode exactly took place?

Col. Potter and B.J. joined the 4077 in September, 1952, yet in a later episode, we see Col. Potter, B.J., and Charles ringing in 1951 with the crew.

Edit: looking at an episode guide, I see that it's the afforementioned "A War For All Seasons" I'm speaking of.

a lot of "MASH" fans don't like that episode because it just ignores Col. Blake and the others; and acts like they never even existed!!
