DianeChambers87 01-13-2004, 09:10 PM Go up to Boston, to Beacon Street (where they shot the outside shots of Cheers) and go and have a Coke (under twenty-one) in Cheers:D . The only thing that's changed is the Windows that were on the restaurant (that's now thanx to the show a gift shop for the bar) the drapes were white with a red trim they are now just white. :D Here's Cheers today: TVFactFan 01-13-2004, 09:16 PM Originally posted by DianeChambers87 Go up to Boston, to Beacon Street (where they shot the outside shots of Cheers) and go and have a Coke (under twenty-one) in Cheers:D . The only neighborhood i been to that was used in opening credits that Sherman Hemsley was involved in was The AMEN CHURCH. I live 10 minutes away from that church Lady T 01-13-2004, 09:46 PM Originally posted by Sitcom Analyzer The only neighborhood i been to that was used in opening credits that Sherman Hemsley was involved in was The AMEN CHURCH. I live 10 minutes away from that church Wow...That is cool...There was zero sitcoms that took place in where I live; the nearest landmark that was in an opening of a televsion show is the Coronardo Bridge in San Diego, which is like 20 miles away...I think Del Mar would be a rather boring opening for any type of sitcom, maybe a soap opera, because it is a beach community and kinda of upscale... treky 01-14-2004, 02:11 AM Originally posted by Sitcom Analyzer The only neighborhood i been to that was used in opening credits that Sherman Hemsley was involved in was The AMEN CHURCH. I live 10 minutes away from that church I also lived in that same area. Not 10 minutes away, though. It was more like 30 minutes. And I don't live there anymore. PZelda 01-14-2004, 11:14 AM I'd like to be in the same neighborhood that they used in the Mama's Family opening credits...And to see the same house and go inside it...I know they actually used a set for the inside of Mama's Family, but I want to see how they compare. :D Then, like DianeChambers, I'd like to go see the street they used in the opening credits to Cheers, and go inside it. That would seriously rock. :D Unfortunately, nothing was shot near me. The closest TV show that took place in a city near me was Minneapolis, where Mary Tyler Moore's show took place. :( SBTB Geek 01-14-2004, 03:22 PM I want to go to the neighborhood in Golden Girls, it looks like a relaxing/quiet area. I heard it's somewhere in Brentwood. FamilyTiesGOP 01-14-2004, 06:59 PM I think going to Boston to see Cheers would actually be a great vacation. I would also like to see the Mama's Family neighborhood and go inside like Miss Vicki. I would also like to go to Columbus, OH and see where Family Ties was supposed to be set (although they never showed the direct neighborhood.) Mijada 01-14-2004, 07:23 PM Who's The Boss. That neighborhood looks very pretty. TVFactFan 01-14-2004, 07:32 PM Originally posted by Mijada Who's The Boss. That neighborhood looks very pretty. I rode pass that Who's the Boss House. BUT, I already saw it back when I vacationed in California in 1988. And I saw the mansion that was used in the show-if you're evver out there, don't expect to find it. It was, unfortunataly, torn down years ago.:crying: :crying: Jrnygrl 01-16-2004, 12:12 AM Since one of my favorite cities is San Francisco and I already have visited, the neighborhood where the opening shots for "Full House" and "Too Close for Comfort" were filmed. :roller:  |
