Since you all have a great understanding and memory of this hit show, I was wondering if any one of you could help me. I am doing research for a documentary that is exploring the sexual and cultural revolution of the late 60s and early 70s through the lens of the 1972 film "Deep Throat." In our exploration of this, we are searching for mentions of the film as well as general mentions of pornography and obscenity on the show.

On Dec. 26, 2003 (just a couple of weeks ago) I was watching the marathon on Nick at Night. The episode I was watching was sometime between 6-8 EST. In that episode, the son told Grady to go down to the Pussycat Theater to watch the film "Deep Threat." Yes, he said threat and not throat.

I desperately need to know what episode this was. If anyone has any idea, please let me know. Also, if you are aware of other episodes where this film was mentioned, please let me know.

Any advice any of you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

THe name of that episode is "Tyrannt, Thy Name is Grady". When Lamont says Deep Threat, you hear the audience laughing so it was obvious that it was a reference to a real Movie.

And Fred also says (in the Porno Movie ep, I believe) something like:

"I can see it now, Fred Sanford starring in 'DEEP JUNK.'"

I heard another reference this morning. Fred said Lamont is going to star in his own movie-"DEEP DUMMY-LOL

They also refer to it in "Lamont is that you?". At the beginning Lamont says to Rollo "I shoulda known better to go see a flick with a title like 'Deep Lips'"

I loved when Lamont said that Rollo was going to direct the commercial. Fred called him "Cecil B. De-Porno."
