I had a weird dream recently, and last year people kept telling me their dreams for a day (which was weird- I didn't ask and people kept telling me their dreams)- so, I thought I'd start a dream thread. i think there was a dream thread in the past here- here is dream thread 2004;

Anyhow, to start this off. I recently had this dream where I went into a bookstore and I saw this book, the cover was silver but it had a picture on the cover in the silver, the picture was of a black adult and a white child (that's what it looked like). Anyway, it was called 1981 (a relevant year for me- the year of Shock Treatment). But- without looking at the book really (it's a dream- so intuition is as certain as anything) I knew I'd wrote this book, but I couldn't remember showing anyone the book. Anyway, eventually I looked at the name on the spine- my first name, but the surname was Pietersen (spelt that way)- which was really odd, because in drama we're doing scenes from plays, mine is about black brothers and attitude to white women and my characters surname is Pietersen. I didn't think my work had been plagarised, I thought maybe a mistake had been made- or I'd gave a false name, and I was very angry. I went to get a friend and I brought him back to the store, and all 5 copies of the book were gone. I felt like a liar, but I was thinking maybe the book had sold really fast.

This dream really creeped me out- it's the only dream I can identify things from my waking life in- the only obvious dream I've had.

I had this really weird dream about a week ago or something...it's really hard to explain but I'll try. :lol:

Okay...I'm in this room with a few other people...I don't remember if I know them or not...and it's like this bad possessed room so we have to get out or something like that. So eventually we do, and I'm at this basketball game...I don't really remember that part...um...and then like something bad happened...I don't know if it was terrorism or a bad storm...but my whole family, my cousin's family and a friend's family packed up and headed somewhere for safety I guess...only, turns out it was Burger King :lol: The whole parking lot was filled with endless amounts of cars of people going to Burger King for safety...so by the time we got there, there wasn't any room in the part where people actually eat and stuff (and yeah, people WERE ordering food) so we went to this little private, nice looking room in the back. Yup, that's it. :nod:

I had a dream last night that my grandma went insane and we had to take her to a mental hospital.

one time i dreamed japan was having a war against the green bay packers and we hid under the furniture when they were about to bomb.

This is not a dream but anyways it was not making sense when it happened i was laying on my bed and all of a sudden i thought i wonder if i tried hard enough i could have powers of bi location and then i said maybe i could contact the dead and all off a sudden i hear screaming in my ear not directly in my ear like at a distance but it was in my ear and i was frozen for a minute i tried to get up but i couldnt finally i managed to unlock myself from the trance and i left the room and didnt return into it until i went to bed.

I had a dream that I had 5 sets of identical twins. I consider that more of a nightmare.

When I was about 13 or 12 I had this dream where I died wial watching my favorite show and then I was in my first house(I've lived in about 10 diffrent houses 'cause my dads in the navy)and it was all white.I stood on the coffe table and then there was this angle who lifted me up and brought me to the kitchen and my family was eating my favorite food.I looked at my mom and she started floating and stabed me and I tried to scream,but because I was dreaming,I couldn't.Then I woke up.

There was another a few weeks ago.

It starts where were(my class)is in a roman like building and this black bird comes and flys down(The bird was a BIG bird)and it said that it was time and then there was this big door in the back-round that opened.After that,the bird gave me my Awanas(Its a church thing)and I had to resite a verse that I had learned.I looked at it and then I saw some of my friends go into the room.(at this point I knew this was about heaven)IThen the bird looked at me and I didn't remember what I read.I then,woke up.

Those all had some really scary parts,but my dream last night went like this,

It started off with me standing in the midle of the road and the world looks like a dump.I start to walk,when,my friend(Jeff)walks up and starts to lead me around.We eventually make it to this house.I look at the sky and its all red(not faded red,solid red)and then there was this big lizard head(BIG)in the sky.Then,It blinks and my friend disapperes.I then feal somethind in my hand and its a bible.I through it at the lizard and he disapperes.Then a snake is on the grownd.It jumps up and a person jumps infront of it.Then I wake up.

Those dreams were not plesant at all.I once had a dream about going to a chocolate factory and there were dino's everywhere,plus they were all chocolate ones.:lol: :lol:

The weirdest was the one where I ate my aunt's cat.

I also have alot of dreams with my mom. and whenever i do, the moment i see her i realize im dreaming for some reason, and im always really happy since i can sort of be with her. in one dream i asked her why i keep dreaming about her and she said something like, god wants me to still be with her in a way. it was weird but cool. one time i dreamed she came down from heaven and she was an angel, it was so beautiful.

That's so nice for you Sarah. I wish I would dream of my parents, but it doesn't happen. I think I'm in denial mode or something.

I would welcome those dreams.

I have this recurring dream (though it's been a while since I've had it) where I'm in a building (usually a school) and every room is connected by a series of weird escalators, and sometimes they start going really fast or get really steep, and sometimes there are gaps between each escalator and when you get to the door you're going through you jump. And the building is just an endless mass of escalators- there's no end, and you see people falling all around you. i hate that dream.

I had this dream (nightmare really) where I somehow got to the top of this huge tower (I think I was on a train) and the tower had a path running down the side you could drive down, but it was really narrow and it waslike 1000 feet high. And in the middle of the tower is a huge hole, and you're standing on these narrow edges and every few minutes is a rush hour, and people are all running around this tower, and you keep seeing people fall down the hole. That nightmare frightened me quite a lot.

I also had a dream/nightmare (I've had this one about 3 times) where I enter a library and the back room is a balcony all the way around- and in the middle is a huge platform suspended by a huge chain running from the ceiling. and lots of people I know are there- and tere's candles- and communion, but it's more like a satanic ritual, and you're called and have to jmp off the baclony to the platform. Once in the dream though I went out a side door to a basement- which was the real library, and an old teacher was reading a book.

Dreams are so weird- It's only recently I've started remembering dreams (partially).

I think most of my dreams might not be suitable for posting on here. ;) But here's my most recent one from a few nights ago:

I was at my friend Lindsay's house and we were chilling in her room and all of a sudden there was this little midgit that wanted to rape her. We got really freaked out and stuffed him in a prefume box and threw it down the stairs. Lindsay stepped on it and I smushed it with my hands and then took it down the street to get rid of it. I had a feeling that he was going to come back and someone told me that he had to complete his unfinished business before he could go away. I knew his unfinished busiess was to rape Lindsay so I went back to her house and told her that even though I felt bad for her she should just let it happen so he would go away. Then I went downstairs for dinner only it was in my old house and I told my family what was going on and they didn't believe me.

Last night I had this weird dream where my library (the whole thing...because it used to be some guys house a long time ago...and it's huge, but only part of it is used as the library) anyway, in my dream it was this private school I guess...and I went to it lol...but so did all the other kids that go to my public school...so anyway, we were all brought out to this street...there were so many kids, the whole street was filled with us...and we were sitting on these people's lawns. So this lady was there to talk to us about something, but when she got halfway through, there were a lot of kids talking and stuff and she was getting really pissed. And then one girl kept talking back to her so that lady got REALLY pissed, so the girl went to walk away, and the lady was yelling at her, so the girl hit her with a newspaper and then walked away. Hm...so anyway, on the way back I got to go up this cool stair case that no one ever went up...and it was a shortcut to the school...so this boy tried to go up it, too, but he was kind of nervous because he didn't know if he was alowd to...so I was teasing him. :)

Oh and after that I had another dream I was playing a video game with my cousin, only we were IN IT and she was winning...:lookaroun...it was pretty cool, though.

I had a dream sometime last week, in which I was at work and I found $20 at the bottom of a shopping cart. Well the next time that I was at work after that dream, I really found $20.

I had a weird one last night. It was 5pm and time to go home. We walked out of the building and it wasn't even ours and It was light out, still winter and it was in the 40's. The weird part is, I take the city bus to the parking lot where my car is and in this dream I'm walking home. There was also a woman riding a kids bike and when I turn the corner, the same woman is loading up the trunk of car, gets in the car and drives away. :confused:

Do any of you here get deja vu- where when something happens you could've sworn you dreamt it the night before? I hate when it happens- because you begin doubting everything.

Once I had a dream where I had several 'false awakenings'- and it was a 'real time' dream- I'd check the clock in the dream all the time and it was passing as real time does- instead of most dreams where night and day are muddled.

omg i hate that. i have alot of dreams where something bad is happening and i try to scream for help but i cant. and i try to escape but theers always something stopping me. one time i dreamed i was on my patio and and a big fire started (im scared to death of fire and therefore have alot of dreams about it) so i tried to open the door to go in but the doorknob was too slippery.

I just remembered last night i dreamed i was in some place outside and i realized i was dreaming, so i was looking around at everything and thinking 'i wonder what that means if im dreaming about it?' since every object you dream of is supposed to mean something.

a few months ago i realized i was dreaming so i looked for my dream interpretations book to look up everything i saw around me but i couldnt find it :lol:

and last year i posted a topic about lucid dreams and i said something like "next time time i realize im dreaming i should go to this thread in the dream lol" and the next time i did i went on these boards and i was gonna do a search for the thread but something happened, i guess i started having another dream or something.

In that case i bet next time i dream i cant scream i'll realize im dreaming.. hearing these kind of things from peoples dreams always affect mine.

I was on a wide boardwalk in the middle of an ocean and this boardwalk was weird and there was someone trying to kill me on it and every once and a while a train would come by the boardwalk on the water it looked like a normal train and it was moving on the water. It was at night and there was weird things on the boardwalk like deformed people and things moving. I had no idea when a train would come it was just come randomly and i was at the edge of the boardwalk and a train came and i was running to catch it but i didnt make it and then i died.

I once had a dream that me and my sister were out riding
bikes and talking and we came to a stop,And all of a sudden
we were flying through the air,like the kids on the movie E.T.

I noticed that whenever i realize i'm dreaming, i can fly when i want to. i just kind of jump up and flap my arms, its so cool. and the weird thing about it is that ive been able to do it ever since i dreamed my mom was an angel and she taught me how to fly.

last week or so i was having a bad dream and i was trying to wake up, but i couldnt so i just tried to FLY away. but some evil bitch started chasing me. and before i knew it i forgot i was dreaming and started thinking it was real again.

That's never happened to me, but in some dreams I can get really hysterical- just crying and screaming uncontrollably. It's weird though, because when I wake up I have the crying feeling- you know that feeling in your eyes and stomach after you've been crying? It's really weird.

In dreams I can fyl, and it feels so weird. My flying works in an et sort of way- I just move my legs and jog and I kick one leg kind of and I'm push into the air- but I have to 'run' in the air to stay flying. In one dream someone kept grabbing my foot stopping me from flying.

The film Waking Life covers dreaming, but I went to a waking life messageboard and it's weird because people on the boards claim they've experience dream phenomenon discussed in the movie. For example, in 'lucid dreaming' if you switch on a light the light never goes on, it's always the same level of darkness etc.

The past 2 days I've had disturbing nightmares.

The first one was where I saw a person having hanged themselves, but throughout the nightmare never worked out who it was. My school has a church you see, and there was a wake thingy there, but the church had like 5 different doors and it was like alice and wonderland with mazes, really scary. More things happened I can't remember.

The second was at a building, a school that looked like a combination of the 4 schools I've been to, and we were walking along and next thing people started running, screaming- and I jokingly said 'you'd think there'd been an earthquake'- turned outt here had, we just didn't notice. Then the school fell into the ground. But after that, huge balls of ice started falling from the sky, hitting and injuring people severely. I ran about for ages and found a place the ice couldn't get me (they were being fired in straight lines, almost like cannons were in the sky). Afterwards, we were in a really broken down building or school or something and a teacher (who'd survived it all) had recorded a message. But I still can't remember what the message was!

I have some very disturbing dreams. Sadly. I wake up screaming sometimes in the night.

I was laying on this cold metal guerney in this 'hospital', or maybe it was a morgue. Anyway, all of these black masqued figures were around me. There was a huge screen infront of me and I could see what was happening. The figures turned me over and cut my back open, they ripped out my spine and threw it on the cold metal floor. I couldn't feel it though, thankfully. Then they cut my skull open with a saw, again, I couldn't feel it, and started cutting stuff. And they cut all my limbs and pulled the bones out. I was still alive, and they through my energy and boneless body into this completely white and really bright room. When I realized where I was, I saw that I was drowning in a puddle of my own blood. Somehow I was holding this syringe filled with bright green fluid, and I somehow injected myself with it. Then, all the lights went out and I fell through the floor while I screamed at the top of my lungs. Scary, yes, distrubing, yes. o.O

Polniaczek, that's possible the weirdest nightmare I've ever heard of! It's sounds like an X-Files ep or something.

I hate dreams where you're falling and you feel like you've really fallen when you wake up.
