IpsoPhatso 01-12-2004, 07:55 PM Wow. This sounds like it will be very good. I can see a lot of humor with Rory and the dog, but the serious stuff will be good too. Can't wait. :)
*GoodMorningCalgary* 01-12-2004, 09:40 PM hmmm....it sounds okay. not as good as YMCA though!
BowWowsBreezy 01-12-2004, 09:52 PM Whoa...it sounds awesome...rory w/ a drug dog (oh God this should be hilarious) and kerry w/ marijuana ::GASP:: impossible lol...I cannot wait.
TVJunkie101 01-12-2004, 11:22 PM Sounds good, but seems like it will be a little 'preachy'. Oh well, no doubt it will still be hilarious. Not sure what I think of David Spade guesting. Not exactly my fave actor, although funny, seems out of place on 8 Simple Rules. I guess I'll have to see him tomorrow night to make a proper judgement. I never was a big fan of his on Just Shoot Me, when I caught an episode that is. At least he is only guesting for a few episodes.
IpsoPhatso 01-12-2004, 11:58 PM After watching Get Real, I can say, I wasn't disappointed. I was pleased with Spade, he brings even more sarcastic style humor to the show! Give him a shot, you may enjoy it. :)
PinkCutieK 01-13-2004, 09:56 AM sounds good....i wonder if the marijuana's actually kerry's?? that doesn't seem like kerry...maybe someone put it in her bag or something...i wonder if bridget will get in an accident not wearing the helmet or something too...that'd be kinda exciting. lol there's a lot of possibilities for this episode! also, i think david spade'll be great, i think he's really funny!
Lor3nzo 01-13-2004, 11:25 AM This episode sounds good, i wonder if the drugs are really kerrys?

For some reason, I think the drugs are C.J's but they somehow managed to get into Kerry's bag. Maybeit's just because David Spade looks like a pothead.
Honda Rider 01-15-2004, 08:25 PM I'm thinking Kyle, but I'm hoping they are Kerry's. Her covering for someone sounds too similiar to 'That 70's Show' storylines.

Maybe it was one of Kerry's friends, setting a prank on her..
Sweetie_Pie22 01-27-2004, 09:49 PM Okay I don't know if I'm just not paying attention or what but who is Bridget's boyfriend? Is he that guy who put salt in his pudding on the premire?? Could someone clue me in please? Also is David Spade part of the cast or does he just have a recurring guest role? I haven't been paying much attention to the show lately. Thanks!
IpsoPhatso 01-27-2004, 09:50 PM Well, after seeing "Consequences" I can say I am definetly satisfied with how well James Garner and David Spade have blended into the show. Their childish bickering is hilarious, and when they aren't in conflict with each other, they are just as funny. Spade, is playing the character well, and IMO is NOT taking over the show like many believed. This whole episode revolved around the kids and their problems, yet C.J, Cate, and Grandpa Jim hold their own as well.
As for the episode itself, I felt it was written very well. Kerry, who normally is the 'good' girl, shows, that she is a teenager too. Her, choosing to come home, and decide on NOT being a drugee, whether it be for Kyle, or her mom, or both, showed her true character. Rory stealing the dog was hilarious, and I like how he and C.J both have the sarcastic humor role, and they both portray it well, TOGETHER. Bridget trying to act like she was wearing a helmet, even though it was painfully obvious she wasn't, just adds to her ditzy blondness. :p
Overall 9.5/10 for me. I can't wait till the next episode, as I feel, with yet another big guest star, Johnathon Tayler Thomas, they are going to be able to pull one heck of a show together. :)

It's hard to tell. Yes, "Damian" was suppose to be her boyfriend, he was mentioned last on the Thanksgiving episode. However, I believe Cate said the motorcycle guy was her boyfriend, can't remember the name though. I think it started with either an L or a D.
Cate said Luke tonight...
I thought this episode was ok...at least it had some color and laughs...
wolf paws 01-28-2004, 01:40 AM It think this episode was well written, and well performed. It showed a serious side, and some funny moments. Well done to all involved. Has anyone smoked weed? I haven't, but my brother did when I was and was not home. When I was home, and up in my room I could smell it, and it made me neausated.
TVJunkie101 01-28-2004, 08:51 AM I thought the episode was hilarious. Way above my expectations. Catey Sagal was great. I totally agree about David Spade and James Garner. It's one of my favorite episodes. It was just so funny. And about Bridget's boyfriend. Didn't we see Luke a few weeks back (when Rory told him that Bridget had mono, lol). Damian was the guy who put salt in his pudding during like the first episode. He just disappeared I think.
To the poster who asked, David Spade is now a regular, but at the time of that episode, he was supposed to be a guest star.
*GoodMorningCalgary* 01-28-2004, 10:49 AM I think Cate did an excellent job of handling Kerry. But she didn't even do anything to Rory and Bridget, Rory even got a reward!!
That cane thing was pretty funny between C.J and Jim. I think this was better than the last CJ episode.
BowWowsBreezy 01-28-2004, 10:52 AM I'm still laughing... I hope the next one is this good
Sweetie_Pie22 01-28-2004, 08:18 PM Thanks! :)
Brent88 01-28-2004, 10:22 PM This is from Nielsen(last night's ratings):
At 8 p.m., "American Idol" pulled in more than 29 million viewers and earned a 16.5/24. CBS was in a distant second with "Navy NCIS," which did a 7.6/11. ABC was third with "8 Simple Rules" (6.3/9) and "I'm with Her" (5.0/7), beating NBC's "The Tracy Morgan Show" and "Whoopi." On The WB, "Gilmore Girls" had a 3.1/5 to top "One on One" and "All of Us" on UPN.
Maybe Pavanbadal can offer more insight... these are just the fast nationals.

I think the relationship between CJ and Rory is definately a good, humorous role.
Also, i think that James Garner and David Spade are filling in very well. They're not in it too much, and they're in whenever necessary.
Im glad that Kerry didnt even use the drugs, i was kinda worried there for a minute when she said that it was hers.
But yeah, i really liked the episode. To be truly honest, i think that this season's humor has been sensational. The first episode of the season and the one where Rory's "friend" kept coming are my favorites. This one was yet again a 9/10 for me. Last season, there were some not so great episodes that i would've given a 6/10 or lower.. this season, ive given atleast an 8 for all of them. They're really trying hard! Props to them again!
