View Full Version : Nate's reaction
Expyra 01-12-2004, 04:49 PM You know what I was really looking forward to? Seeing Nate's reaction when he found out that CD had been shot. But did we get to see it? No. I was expecting some big thing where Nate pours out his heart and tells CD how much he loves her and how he is so relieved that she is alive because he almost came close to losing her. I wanted to see that, but we didn't. We don't even know how Nate felt about the shooting. This is a very important thing for the CD/Nate storyline because it would show how strongly Nate feels for CD and his fear of losing her. They skipped an extremely significant event! All we know is how he feels about CD leaving and that's it. This is yet another disappointment.
When the episode began I thought they were going to pick up with that and have Tracey just do that spot-rolling out on a stetcher or something. The ambulances and what not honestly had me thinking that. A bit disappointed that wasn't the case.

Expyra 01-12-2004, 10:26 PM Yes, I was expecting them to pick up from right where they left off. That we would see CD going to the hospital and Nate and the other inspectors find out. I wanted to see that. :(
InspectorExstead 01-13-2004, 01:17 AM Yeah, that was the biggest disappointment. when they began the show I thought it was only a couple of hours after CD was shot and Jin and Mag would get the call that she had been shot soon, that's what I was hoping. Lifetime didn't handle the situation well, at all. There could've been more. I really wanted to see Nate get all freaked out and pour his soul out to CD and declare his love for her. And it just sucks that we didn't get to see that.

That is exactly what I thought. They could have milked half a season out of that, getting Cd well, stuff like that

Yes! They could have gotten so much out of that. Nate taking care of C.D. and being very protective of her. We know that they were living together, so I'm sure Nate was by C.D.'s side as she was healing. I wanted to see that! Grrr.
wingedorange 01-13-2004, 07:20 PM *sighs* Me too. I spent, like, a season and a half waiting for CD and Nate together, and then they write her out and we kind of miss the whole thing. I'll be bitter about that until they come to their senses and bring CD back. ;)

I agree with you completely! I waited for 2 years, watching every look, every comment, every move, for them to get together. Quite frankly, this is unfair to the actors as well. They put way too much effort into this to have it end this way. And it was so unfair to Tracey, to give her character that horrible send off. That was not the CD that Tracey performed to perfection.

My feelings exactly. I was at least excited that we'd get a decent sendoff for CD, because it seemed like they were building up to something big...and then we got, what, two minutes of "angry Nate"? :P
That said, I hope this isn't the last word on the subject. I'd love to see Nate deal with everything over the season...it'd be kind of fun to see how he battles with it (though I do miss the cleancut "happy" Nate).
happy_bunny 01-13-2004, 10:34 PM Hmmm, just watched it, and I was hoping to have it picking up, where they hung us by that thread. Yeah, would have been nice. Question: I thought I saw CD on previews, and Nate was walking by her. They were both smiling. Never saw it before. NE one else see it...?

I think that was the scene from last season...
