I just saw an episode of Seinfeld where at the end of the show, they had a memoriam for a guy named Brandon something or another. I know this may sound stupid, but who was that?

View Full Version : Brandon Who? Elaine Benes 01-12-2004, 04:08 PM I just saw an episode of Seinfeld where at the end of the show, they had a memoriam for a guy named Brandon something or another. I know this may sound stupid, but who was that? MillenniumMan831 01-12-2004, 04:10 PM That was Brandon Tartikov. I believe he was the President of NBC. The only reason I know this is becasue he guest starred on a Saved by the Bell episode. Maestro 01-12-2004, 04:12 PM Brandon Tartikoff was the network exec who who turned NBC into a television powerhouse. Seinfeld was brought to us during his reign at the peacock. He passed in 1997 due to Hodgkins disease. Elaine Benes 01-12-2004, 04:34 PM I wonder if he was the basis for Russell Dalrimple? Maestro 01-12-2004, 04:46 PM I think the answer is yes, I thought I had some corroborating info some where, but I can't find it. You must have saw that decication on 157 The Butter Shave. Elaine Benes 01-12-2004, 04:49 PM I'm not sure what episode it was. Is that the one where Kramer is a turkey? sinatrastar 01-12-2004, 04:54 PM That is the one. Maestro 01-12-2004, 04:57 PM Elaine, I take that back. According to SeinLore, I believe he was based on another netwrok exec, Warren Littlefield. In HBO's The Late Shift (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0116835/), the story of the late night TV wars, Warren Littlefield was played by actor Bob Balaban (Seinfeld's Russell D). Also, their physical appearance bears a striking resemblance. |
