I just saw an episode of Seinfeld where at the end of the show, they had a memoriam for a guy named Brandon something or another. I know this may sound stupid, but who was that?

That was Brandon Tartikov. I believe he was the President of NBC. The only reason I know this is becasue he guest starred on a Saved by the Bell episode.

Brandon Tartikoff was the network exec who who turned NBC into a television powerhouse.
Seinfeld was brought to us during his reign at the peacock.

He passed in 1997 due to Hodgkins disease.

I'm not sure what episode it was. Is that the one where Kramer is a turkey?

Elaine, I take that back.
According to SeinLore, I believe he was based on another netwrok exec, Warren Littlefield.

In HBO's The Late Shift (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0116835/), the story of the late night TV wars, Warren Littlefield was played by
actor Bob Balaban (Seinfeld's Russell D). Also, their physical appearance bears a striking resemblance.
