Tracey Morgan Show
Rock Me Baby
All About the Anderson's

Steve Harvey's Big Time
Arrested Development
barwars 01-12-2004, 05:33 PM Is "A Minute With Stan Hooper" cancelled or not??
But as long as "Arrested Development" is around.... its all good.
Miss Golden 01-12-2004, 06:57 PM I hate to see It's all Relative go, but I hope Whoopi and Tracy Morgan get the ax before May sweeps. Happy Family's ratings are rising each week, but it is still not a knockout show, but NBC will have to bring something back.

Miss Golden 01-12-2004, 11:27 PM The Ortegas was a FOX show which was originally suppose to air at 8:30 Eastern on Sunday Nights where Bernie Mac currently airs.
Something tells me Bernie Mac may be ending this year too.

i doubt it Bernie Mac is one of the cornerstones of the Fox schedule and as far as i can tell the ratings are still decent. its not going anywhere.

Bernie Mac has not drawn as well as FOX hoped it would. It will probably come back considering Fox relys on Reality shows for the brunt of their ratings. I just thought it could be in for cancellation due to it being delayed this past year until late November for its season premiere.

True, but i bet its still good enough for a third season. plus FOX is desperate for shows that get some kind of ratings.
The intresting thing to watch will be what it does with Arressted Development, hardly a ratings winner, but a huge favorite of critics and industry folks.
Pavan 01-15-2004, 12:25 AM I think the following new sitcoms will return:
ABC: Hope & Faith, I'm With Her, It's All Relative
NBC: Happy Family
CBS: Two and a Half Men
FOX: None
UPN: Eve, All of Us
The WB: Like Family, All About the Andersons
Might have a chance:
ABC: Married to the Kellys, mid-season entry: The Big House
NBC: Whoopi
FOX: Arrested Development
UPN: No other shows
The WB: Mid-season entry: The Help
Mid-season comedies: The Stones (CBS) and Come to Papa (NBC) will be DOA (dead-on-arrival)! And whatever FOX is launching, they can't develop sitcoms at all.
Every other new sitcom, I didn't list will be canned I think, for example, The Tracey Morgan Show.
Mr. Television 01-15-2004, 12:35 AM Bernie Mack still gets good ratings. It will get renewed. It won't get cancelled until at least after its 4th season so it will have enough episodes for syndication.
barwars 01-15-2004, 08:19 PM "A Minute With Stan Hooper" has been officially cancelled.
Meanwhile....
"Frasier" ends forever on May 13th. :(:(:(
db108108 01-17-2004, 07:06 PM NBC, with Frasier and Friends leaving, has a huge problem with sitcoms. That's why Happy Family, Whoppi & Scrubs will all be back. Tracey Morgan & Good Morning Miami? Not likely.
ABC: All will be back except Married To The Kelley's, It's All Relatvie & I'm With Her. All of these shows are very limited appeal anyway (I've seen all three) and have very little room to move.
Fox: Arrested Development might come back as more of a vanity project, but nothing else is clicking on the network.
CBS: Two & A Half Men is the new "Raymond" (if not in quality, then in ratings), Becker is on the edge (won't be back). All of CBS's new shows are performing so well that I guess they don't want to mess with success.
UPN: Eve, All of Us are obvious, but Rock Me Baby might slide through. It's showing some ratings promise.
WB: It's been yet another wash out year for the WB and sitcoms, but Steve Harvey, Jamie Kennedy, Reba & Grounded For Life will survive. The rest won't.
For ratings of all the shows, check out http://www.angelfire.com/tv/JustTVRatings/newratingsindex.html
Neilsen is really cracking down on the illegitimate use of it's ratings, but I'm trying to keep this site going for as long as I can. I think it's important for people to know how their favorite shows are doing. Besides, why fall in love with a show that's doing horrible, only to see it canned after a few weeks?
db108108 01-17-2004, 07:07 PM That link didn't come out as planned. That's

Miss Golden 01-31-2004, 01:05 PM Whoopi and Happy Family will have to come back because NBC cannot survive on just Scrubs and Will and Grace as their only 2 returning sitcoms.
combsisthebest 01-31-2004, 01:35 PM The WB!- I think Reba is coming back for sure (not confirmed, but it has a very good chance, IMO).

That is definately correct!! Besides, I think both would return anyway. Whoopi is a pretty good show with acceptable ratings.
db108108 01-31-2004, 02:35 PM Happy Family has also been doing very well post Frasier, usually holding all of its audience.
On my website, I've gone and compiled a full list of every show on the networks, broken down into what's been renewed, what's been cancelled, ect.
The link:

It looks like very NBC sitomc that can be renewed will be, with the exception of Good Morning miami and Tracey Morgran. netierh of which has shown any ratings promise.
Miss Golden 01-31-2004, 06:23 PM NBC Tuesday Night Lineup
7:00 Whoopi
7:30 New Comedy
8:00 Scrubs
8:30 New Comedy
Thursday Night
7:00 Joey (New Comedy)
7:30 Happy Family
8:00 Will and Grace
8:30 New Comedy
db108108 01-31-2004, 09:07 PM I think The Apprentice will go back on Thursday. It' NBC's next big thing right now. Finally, an out of the box hit on one of the networks
dawsongirl 02-01-2004, 03:03 AM Tracy Morgan is one of the most boring sitcoms I have ever seen. If NBC is smart (which is highly questionable) they'll ax it soon.
BowWowsBreezy 02-01-2004, 03:42 PM Miss Golden, your lineup doesnt work because it cuts out Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy which currently have VERY high ratings
Superbatboy 02-01-2004, 06:38 PM NBC-Whoopi is probably going to stay while it doesn't attract a HUGE audience, it has very faithful viewers.
ABC-Please tell me Life with Bonnie is getting the ax. I hope Less Than Perfect survives though. My Wife and Kids, 8 Simple Rules, and According to Jim will most likely be back.
CBS-Okay is Ray Romano holding out for more money or what? He said he wants to go out while the show is still good, but the show is already getting stale, so why not just make some extra dough, instead of putting hundreds of people out of work. Regarding Kings of Queens, was CBS trying to ruin that show by moving it to Wednesdays, cause they only helped it. That show's ratings are higher than ever now.
FOX-Hmmmmmmmm, I don't know about Bernie Mac making it to a 4th season. They're having a lot of problems on the set of that show. I think 3 different show runners have come and gone out of there since the start. And Malcolm is most likely returning for a 6th season, although the show has gotten a little stale.
WB-Reba is the highest rated comedy on the WB so no doubt it will return for a 4th season. And someone at the WB REALLY likes Amanda Bynes, because What I like about You had mediocre ratings during it's first season, they brought it back for a 2nd season changed the format, then when the ratings sucked even more, moved it after Reba and moved Like Family (which is a fairly decent show) to 9:30pm. I hope What I Like About you gets the ax instead of Like Family.
UPN-Eve is the highest rated comedy on UPN at the moment, no doubt that show will return. I've heard rumors about The Parkers leaving but nothing has been confirmed. Girlfriends and Half and Half are both REALLY good shows, that will no doubt be returning. One on One and All of Us are shoe ins for next season considering UPN had a very decent Tuesday this season.

db108108 02-02-2004, 02:33 AM Yeah, Reba is the number one comedy on the WB by a long shot.
ABC- All but It's All Relative, I'm With Her and Married To The Kelleys. Life With bonnie recently outrated Hope & Faith for the first time, so it's probably safe. As for the rest, Less Than Perfect is the biggest question mark, but I except it to be back.
NBC- W&G, Happy Faily, Whoppi, Scrubs. NBC really has to hold onto every sitcom it has now, except Good Morning Miami (which has already likely been cancelled, and Tracey Morgan, which drew only 4mil viewers on its first Saturday outing)
CBS- Becker is gone and noboby expects The Stones to be anything. Other than that, everything is safe.
Fox: Bernie Mack is a question mark, it's ratings aren't that great on Sundays. Also, Arrested Development, who know?
WB: Reba, Grounded For Life, Steve Harvey and Jamie Kennedy are safe. The rest are probably gones, except All About The Andersons, whjich is growing.
UPN: All are safe, even Rock Me Baby. The Parkers has likely been cancelled. Production has been shut down, but not because of poor ratings. It recently crossed the syndication line, which on the UPN, because of the inability to afford higher liscensing costs, means its gone. The same happened to Moesha.
I know I'm endlessly flogging my website here, but her at the up to date ratings. I try to update them every week.
http://www.angelfire.com/tv/JustTV/newindex.html
On the left hand side, click on "Season To Date" or Adults 18-49.
Also, I keep a ratings archive at:
http://www.angelfire.com/tv/JustTVRatings/newratingsindex.html
Neilsen is really vracking down of who uses their ratings, so I'm trying to keep this going until I get an email to them. The Archive goes back to 2000.
db108108 02-02-2004, 02:36 AM Oh, and to rvsock- miss Golden likely lives in the central timezone, where primetime starts at 7pm. I live in Atlantic Canada, where primetime doesn't start until 9pm. Global tv in Canada takes major advantage of this- it airs "Friends" at 8:30pm on Thursday and then "Survivor" at 9pm and "Will & Grace" at 10. I network programmers dream, I would say.

You live on the East Coast. She probably lives in the Central or Mountain Time Zone because primetime here is 7PM - 9PM.
