This is such ****ing bull****. You are right, that definitely is not something CD would do. I can't believe they feed us this **** and expect us to believe it. CD is better than that.

That had to be the stupidest thing I ever saw. They could have done a much better job. It's really not like CD just to leave a note. How weak and lame.

Yeah, I was upset with the way they handled it. I mean at least they didnt dismiss her with one line, like they did with Angela. But I was really hoping we'd get some flashback scenes to show what happened.

Me too! I kept saying, "Come on baby, give us a flashback! At least show us CD and Nate having sex!" But... nada.

Seriously, what a horrible thing for the writers to do. Didn't they say that she left because she didn't want to be around anything that reminded her of her job or something? That's not like CD. She really loved being a cop. And last season, she was very serious about starting something with Nate. She is not cruel and insensitive. It is definitely not like her to just up and leave with nothing but a note. That is an awfully cheap way out and I can't believe the writers actually had the audacity to pull that crap on us.

CD is definitely better and STRONGER then that. I mean, that line they gave us made me lose a lot of respect for her. B/C that is so not a CD action...givin up on her job...and NATE?!?!? Stupid writers.

I was so not shocked that Lifetime did that. It's just like them. But, I thought they would give a long-time character, like CD, more than what they gave her. A note, resignation....those sound nothing like CD. And Nate and her were talking about marriage? They had their own apartment?

UGH! It just annoys me that they can dismiss her like that.

I want CD back. I want CD AND NATE back.

During the entire episode, I kept expecting her to pop out at some random time and say "Hey guys, I did some thinking and I'm back now..."

:(

So they expect us to get...

C.D. can withstand being raped at a young age, have her mother ignore wrongdoings to her, her partner's suicide, her husbands cheatings, a divorce and still turn out to be a strong willed individual willing to stand up for herself. However, when push comes to shove and she gets shot she just up and leaves the force in a letter? Things finally are going right in her life and she quits? I don't think so.

Of course maybe we're supposed to believe she just reached the breaking point? A stretch, but a possibility I suppose.

Why did Tracey leave? Or is this just some HUGE secret return in the mix?

This is so unlike CD, I can't stand it. Not only did they get rid of her, but they did it in such a disrepectful way. I mean, my gosh, if you're going to get rid of a character, let them leave on a high note, and not a totally unfeeling and insensitive one. CD would never leave her job, and she would never do that to Nate. He was her best friend. When I saw the opening credits, I started sobbing so bad. The show's producers owe both the show and the viewers much better than what they gave us.

Well said ks. That is very true. CD is a fighter. She just wouldn't up and leave when things got bad - that's not her style. So this entire thing is very unbelievable because we all know CD doesn't act that way. She would NEVER just walk away from something. From her career, which she loved. From Nate, who she obviously cared very much about. She doesn't give up and she doesn't hurt people, so I don't buy this crap that the writers are giving us. I can't believe they did this. What they did to CD's character was out of line and disrespectful, especially to the fans. We deserve better. What the hell are they trying to do, ruin the show? Because that's what they are doing. By getting rid of CD in such a dishonest *****ty way, hooking Jinny up with yet another person, and bringing in that obnoxious Stacy girl, they are going to lose viewers. How many of us feel that the show has lost it's excitement? I know I do. And by doing this to CD and throwing the CD/Nate relationship away, they are making things worse. I am especially angry that we didn't get to see CD and Nate together as a couple. All we got were a few words from Nate and that's it. We waited two seasons, including the six months in between season finales and season premieres, only to be TOLD that something happened between CD and Nate that didn't work out and now suddenly she has disappeared. WE WAITED ALL OF THAT TIME JUST TO BE TOLD THAT SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED BUT WE NEVER GOT TO SEE IT?! They made us wait and then screwed us over. See how awful that is. These writers are doing extremely stupid things.

I want CD back! I really, really, really hope Tracey returns because the show just isn't as good without CD.

that's just a huge pile of disguisting stinking BS!!! That character that left Nate with a note... that was not the same CD DeLorenzo that we learned to love during the seasons... I guess someone brainwashed her at the hospital or something...

and something else... so Nate was gone for 2 months? And at the very same time CD a) recovered in the hospital and b) moved in with him and stuff... maybe she left because it got too much for her to be at 2 places at the same time???

now seriously, as far as Tracey is concerned, I hate to say this, but I honestly don't want her back, not after the way she got kicked out there... they pretty much raped her character by doing what they did to her. That was the un-cd-ish-est move that I could ever imagine! A note! Please!!! At the fridge or what? Buy milk, cerials, butter and oh yeah, I'm dumping ya.
So now I just hope that Tracey will find a new series where she gets the recognition she deserves and her character doesn't get run over by an 18wheeler again like Lifetime did with CD.
Let's keep the CD we loved for 3 seasons alive in our hearts and fics.

I really think they screwed CD over with their lame explaination. I'd like to see them explain it as CD had a nervous breakdown or something, and needed to go get help/recooperate, and then bring her back.

I know where you are coming from Cat, they really screwed Tracey over, too, and in a way I don't want her back because of that. So, I guess I'm sort of caught in the middle. I want her back, but I don't, ya know.

Anyway, I think they did a tremendous disservice to Tracey and CD with this episode. Shame on Lifetime.

Well~

I didn't watch last night, I figured I would hear soon enough how they would handle CD's departure, and guess what: I am not surprised. The producers and writers have always gotten rid of characters in the blink of an eye, with little or no explanation, and then expect us to laugh and say "oh well" and keep watching. No more for me. For them to get rid of a main character after 3 seasons in this way is a huge slap in the face. I can't imagine why on earth they would not give her a decent on screen goodbye if they insisted on getting rid of her. Then to bring on a new character, (who I decided was annoying from previews)who's younger, makes me think they are probably trying to go for a younger audience. In my opinion, when shows start doing that, its the beginning of the end.
