Ok, my parents got me a cell phone for x-mas, and i have everything i want on it except text messaging. So i asked my mom could she register me to get it (i even told her i would pay the monthly bill myslef, $3.00 plus tax).. when you think about it, $3.00 isn't that much to pay a month, and i always have money, i baby sit and clean up to earn money. So my mom started yelling at me and calling me unappreciative and said i dont have a job, but i always end up getting some money and saving it.....and of course my dad always has to agree w/ her......it isn't like i'll be asking them for the money, wuts the big deal about $3.00?????????:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

That's exactly what my mom says.

Text messages on my phone are 10 cents to send and 10 cents to recieve. She says "I DID NOT GET YOU THIS PHONE TO SEND TEXT MESSAGES!" and she won't let me pay for them....I don't quiet get it either.

Well my mom has this idea in her head that now that I am 18 and have a job she shouldn't have to pay for anything of mine anymore. She's making me pay her $20 a month for gas because I "have the money to do so" but then she said she didn't think I had enough money in MY bank account for how much I have made since I've been at my job. First off, I'm 18 and it's my money so what does she care, it's not like I'm dead broke and the bank notice came in my name not her's so even though she's my mother is is still a federal offense. And she says I should pay for more stuff but then when I go out and pierce my ears with my own money she freaks out but that's a totally different story.

Sorry, I just felt the need to vent.

o0o Lordy. Well, frankly.. if the bill comes in the mail addressed to you, you should be able to do whatever you want with your cell phone.

well, yeah..i just learned how to send text messages, and guess what...ive been sending like 5 a day...for the last 2 weeks...im dead when my mom gets the bill, i just thought they were included or whatever

The bill is $3 plus tax for UNLIMITED TEXT MESSAGES.....i can send how many i want for about $4 a month, which isn't alot....
