Whenever I leave the AIM window open, or if I open a page that uses Javascript, I get this download prompt and it makes my computer freeze. I've tried downloading the damn thing, but it doesn't work. Here is the screen that pops up...

Erg, I hate downloading stuff.
I don't know what the right thing for you to do is but I wouldn't download it if I were you. You should wait to get some advice. Have you tried just shutting down your computer and rebooting? After you do that delete internet files. I don't think you should be downloading something that is cornering you like that thing is. Fishy is Denmark is what it looks like to me.

Don't download anything that isn't compatible with your computer,
trying canceling out next time.

Does anybody know how to "Enable Java"? depends on what browser you are using but for IE 5.x/6.x - go to the menu Tools, Internet Options..., click on the Advanced tab, scroll down to Microsoft VM, and put a check in "Java console enabled (requires restart)" and follow the directions,
IF that doent work, go to Windows Update , and look for the Java Virtual Machine
