a petition's not gonna do anything. Someone should write to someone in charge of that sorta thing.

Someone should ask Roseanne if she would help get the show released on DVD!

I've been trying she hasn't replyed to any of my e-mails. Anyway I think that she is already trying but she would have to buy the rights to "Roseanne" or someing like that.

I have noticed that none of the sitcoms produced by Carsey-Werner are available on season DVD sets in the USA. Some of their hits include...

Roseanne
The Cosby Show
That '70s Show
3rd Rock from the Sun
A Different World

I wonder if Carsey-Werner are anti-dvd or something. Maybe they just prefer to air their shows in syndicatioin  Its a shame, as the shows listed above would sell like hotcakes if given the dvd treatement, and I'd love to own them.

As for people saying that petitions don't work, that is false. If it weren't for petitions, shows like My So-Called Life and the upcoming Freaks & Geeks wouldn't be on DVD. Also, on my Upright Citizens Brigade DVDs, Amy Poehler said on the audio commentary that Comedy Central released the series because the fans "kept bugging them", so yeah, it helps to make some noise when it comes to this stuff. Sign petitions, request your favorite shows...go crazy. I don't know if this is a good idea, but maybe Todd Fuller should add DVD petitions to this site for each show. Eh, tvshowsondvd.com already sorta does the same thing, but I just thought I'd throw that idea out there..

There's going to wait until Roseanne peters out on tv until they release it on dvd. Had the show not had a renaissance and legions of new fans on N@N and Oxygen, it might be out on dvd now.

Roseanne said on her message board that she does not own the rights and has nothing to do with it. I'm sure she wouldn't mind the royalties though....

Exactly right. Sheesh, it's on 8 times a day on cable.
