View Full Version : BAD Wendy's experience
HuntingtonM15 01-09-2004, 06:48 PM I just felt the need to post about this, because it overly pissed me off. I got a cheeseburger from Wendy's, and on it I found something that looked like a rubber band from braces. Being very disgusted, I called them. The woman on the phone (manager) was quite rude, and told me to bring it back. I went back there and she was even more rude in person. She accused me of microwaving it and putting the rubber band on it. I told her it was supposed to be my dinner, and I'm not going to ruin it just so I can bring it back. Normally, I try not to make a scene, but she went too far. I had to tell her off. She was hesitant about giving my money back and didn't even apologize. She said she would report it to the main Wendy's office, because she has no clue where it came from. I called again when I got home and told her I didn't appreciate her being so rude and not even apologizing. I'm going to try calling the main Wendy's consumer hotline and reporting her, because I don't feel she handled the situation properly. Has anyone else ever had a bad experience with Wendy's?
AllIWantIsYourClutch 01-09-2004, 07:04 PM Dude that sucks.
My chemistry teacher told us that she new a guy who worked at a Wendy's around here. She said she heard that they didn't clean the tips of the Frosty machines at night and in the morning there would be ants crawling on them.
Just thought I'd share.

Brent88 01-09-2004, 07:19 PM I like Wendy's Hamburgers. The one here has very nice people(compared to other restaurants around here). Never had a bad experience...

I'm never.. eating.. drinking.. consuming.. one of those things again.
The Wendy's around here is pretty good, though. Never had a bad experience.
Brent88 01-09-2004, 07:35 PM I don't drink those Frosty's anyway.

Anyways - nope never had a problem a Wendy's but thats just sick.:barf:
Mijada 01-09-2004, 08:00 PM I've never had any problem with Wendy's but one of my co workers was just complaining about it the other day. They gave her someone elses order and she didn't realize it until she was halfway home so she had to turn around and drive back there to complain. She told the people who worked there that she only eats fast food a couple times a year and now she knows why.

Yeah, that happens a lot at fast food places...now we always know to check before we drive away...we shouldn't have to though.
And...despite all of this, I want Wendy's now. :)
Tuesday Weld 01-09-2004, 08:23 PM I just don't like fast food,regardless,if I had a bad experience,or not.I hardly ever eat fast food.

That's probably a good thing.

We always check too. The only places I have had mixups with orders is Burger King and McDonalds. Everywhere else is fine, but I still check. It's habit now.
Kristina 01-09-2004, 08:39 PM Ew, that's gross. Yay for me not eating fast food and meat anymore! I swear, one time at Taco Bell I saw saliva mixed with snot in my bean burrito, I had my mom take it back. I never ate there again, thank god for me opening up my burrito. (I checked to see if they didn't put onions) And that's what it looked like. Like someone brought saliva and snot into their mouth and spat it inside of the burrito.
McDonald's cheeseburgers smell like rotten baby diapers, too. The thought of their cheeseburgers makes vomit come up to my throat.

Me too. And the last time I had a frozen drink was a McD's shake and that was in December 2002, but I was sick then so I didn't eat a lot...That doesn't count...The last time I had a shake from McD's was oh maybe 1998 or 1999. I prefer DQ for my frozen treats.

Brent88 01-09-2004, 08:57 PM I always check my food before eating, regardless of whether it is fast food or not.
HuntingtonM15 01-09-2004, 08:58 PM I wouldn't have been as mad if she wouldn't have been so rude to me. The rest of the employees were laughing. She so didn't take me seriously. I work at a law office and I'm thinking of having the lawyer I work for send them a letter. I just want to be taken seriously with this.
britt britt 01-09-2004, 09:00 PM whenever my mom and I go to Wendy's they ALWAYS screw up the order. There were only a few times where they actually got it right and we were surprised.lol

said that there was once dead roaches in the chili, and that
the ice cream machine was real dirty gross!,We live in a small
town so we don't have Wendy's,but some towns nearby do.:barf: :barf:
No Recess 01-09-2004, 11:42 PM Ugh...That's nasty. I now know the weird force that's kept me from ever eating there...
Ewan's My Man 01-10-2004, 12:08 AM The worst experience I ever had was at a local Wendy's. The guy at the counter kept on wiping his nose. The back wall was disgusting, it kinda smelled like sewage and I've never seen so many flies in my life. My mom's like, "I can't eat here" and we left.

seriously, i am leery about ANY fast food place - how do you know what someone working back there is feeling and whether they just got reamed-out by the 17-year old assistant manager and decide to take it out on YOU with a little surprise
Kristina 01-10-2004, 09:30 AM edited. too vulgarrrr. lolz.

A normal restaurant....even like, the butcher at the grocery store.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 01-10-2004, 04:47 PM Despite all these nasty stories, Ill still keep going back for my BigMacs and Frosty's LOl. But yea, if she was a real manager, she wouldnt handled it in a managerical way. How old was she? If she was older than 25, she really shouldve known better. Id complain about her to the head department. And, if shes just a night manager, try complaining to the Head Manager.

I'd say she is in her late 30s or 40s. The main deparment isn't open today, but she is definitely being reported on Monday!

Ew. :o
I don't know about the rest of you guys, but the majority of fast food places up here have great service...I don't like a lot of the fast food places, though, so pretty much the only places I go to are McD's, Subways and DQ. But that's it. Taco Bell, Taco John and KFC all serve food that reminds me of vomit. Arbys, BK and Hardee's...they're just plain nasty. And as for Wendy's, I haven't been to one since like 1998 or 1999...I just don't go to one that often.

Where is the WEndy's located, If she was rude to me I would have given the Stone Cold Steve Austin slaute
SBTB Geek 01-11-2004, 01:18 AM One time there was a piece of a Brillo pad inside my mom's hamburger from McDonald's. Nothing major has happened at Taco Bell, but once in a while, their drinks come out tasting like water.

That's happened to me...I just tell them to PLEASE go easy on the ice...I usually don't have to, tho, because they're good about that up here. :)
HuntingtonM15 01-12-2004, 07:00 PM Well, I called the main Wendy's consumer relations # today and reported the manager. The woman who I spoke with was very nice and said she would fax a letter over to a different department. I just got a call now from another woman who said she was from the District Division of Wendy's in Ohio. She apologized to me and said she would check up on the manager. She also said she would be sending a letter of apology and gift certificates. I'm just glad something is being done!

isiahthomas 01-15-2004, 04:14 PM Somebody posted a topic about this guy who works at a McDonalds in London & he put his semen on people's food & they became sick. A lot of people went to the doctor with cold sores & other medical conditions cause of what this fool did. The dude has HIV & he's trying to give it to other people by peeing on their food. He's a sick bastard. The doctors talked to the manager at McDonalds & saw a videotape of the man doing this sick s**t to the food. He's been brought up on charges so he's probably gonna go to prison for life for committing this sick crime. I don't know if i'll eat fast food anymore.
Rhiannon 01-15-2004, 05:02 PM I swear I found a pube hair on my burger once. I never ate there again
