I fail to see how Jesse could afford to keep the Smash Club open.
By my calculations, he would be LOSING money!
I know the club was given to him, but he had to take out a large bank loan to turn it from a rat hole into a hip place. He had to pay for beverages, the electric bill, insurance, bands, etc.
He didn't charge any admission. He said his target age group was teens. They're not there to spend money. They're just looking for a place to hang out and dance. If he was lucky, each one would buy a 75-cent soft drink. Big mistake not getting a liquor license. That's where you earn a profit. Adults would sit there and order drink after drink. He couldn't afford to stay in business catering to the kids.
