I count 12. There are 2 versions of the 90-92 season(Poker), 92-93 season(Pizza) and 93-95 seasons(Chinese food). I think there is also a second version of the first two seasons of the theme song, however, it has never been shown in syndication. So, that would make 13.

If you mean how many different theme song versions the was
Season 1 &2- The family sits around the table Jackie argues about something on a paper with Roseanne, Becky shows Jackie make-up, Darlene has a football.
Season 3 & 4- Darlene argues with Roseanne, Crystal is credited and seen.
Season 5- Everyone is eating pizza Becky (Lecy) walks in, Darlene puts lots of salt on Roseanne's pizza slice.
Season 6- Version 1-Everyones eating Chinese food and Darlene walks in
Season 6- Version 2-Everyones eating Chinese food and Becky (Sarah) walks in.
Season 7- Season 6 version 2
Season 8- there's a morphing thing its starts with Roseanne's name then goes to John Goodman then to Laurie Metcalf then to Sara Gilbert then to Lecy Goranson (there are pictures of Sarah and Lecy) then to Michael Fishman then to Roseanne.
Season 9- This is the vocal theme song. THere's another morphing. Roseanne's name then goes to John Goodman then to Laurie Metcalf then to Sara Gilbert then to Lecy Goranson (there is a picture of Sarah ) then to Michael Fishman then to Roseanne

Season 5 has an extended version of the theme... where Roseanne falls back into her seat after laughing at the end. The actions are different, but the setting is the same. It only appears in the episode "Crime and Punishment"

Seasons 3 and 4 have an extended theme and Season 6 and 7 have another theme besides the two. So that makes 14.

If what doesn't kill us is making us stronger,
Were gonna last longer,
Than the greatest wall in China,
Or that rabbit with the drum

If there's one thing that I learned,
While waiting for my turn,
Is that in each life some rain falls,
But you also get some sun,

And we'll make out better than ok,
Hear what I say?
Yeah, any day

In the second to last episode of the eighth season (Heart and Soul(Dan in hospital)) The theme (visual) is the same, but the theme (audio) is the same as season one.

I don;t think they really could have made a shorter version of season eight or 9. With the morphing faces and the lyrics in season 9, it would have been near impossible to cut anything out, especially because of the morphing.

Hmm... I don't remember that, but that's interesting. Anyone else remember that?
