INSPECTOR JINNY EXSTEAD Continuing to live life sober, recovering alcoholic Inspector Jinny Exstead (McKeon) begins to explore life without her husband, Jack, and begins seeing someone new who turns her life upside down.



INSPECTOR MAGDALENA RAMIREZ
Overwrought with guilt about her affair, Inspector Magda Ramirez comes clean to her husband and must deal with the consequences.



INSPECTOR NATHAN RUSSO
"Nate" Basso (Hamm), a street-wise Inspector from the vice squad, often uses some unorthodox methods to solve crimes, but he knows how to get results. His colleagues also suspect that his easy-going, wise-cracking exterior hides a more complex man, whose pain runs deeper than he'd like to admit.
**Still shaken by last season's shoot out, Nathan "Nate" Basso (Hamm), continues to deal with its effects on his personal and professional life.



INSPECTOR RAINA WASHINGTON As Inspector Raina Washington continues to grow more comfortable in her role at the precinct and happy to no longer be the "newbie," she befriends the newest officer on the squad, Stacey Newland.



OFFICER STACY NEWLAND
The newest officer on the squad, Stacy Newland is a rookie police officer.


This season, "The Division" also introduces Amy Jo Johnson ("Felicity") as Stacy Newland, a rookie police officer who joins the squad. A stellar group of guest stars, including Yancey Arias ("Kingpin"), Jon Tenney ("Brooklyn South") and Dean Cain ("Ripley's Believe It or Not") join the cast this season.

This season, the inspectors deal with issues inspired from today's newspaper headlines including a vicious dog attack, a high-profile alleged rape by a sports figure, a hate crime against two gay men and a nightclub fire that may have been deliberately set. This group of officers takes every case to heart and recognizes that catching the bad guy doesn't always mean their work is over.

Dean Cain...JOINS the cast?

i so can't wit and tomorrows friday! I did a little "research" and that's from the paramount website. The address is http://www.paramount.com/television/division/characterbios.htm for anyone who wants to check it out. So Dean Cain is coming back. I'm glad since I liked him in that role.

So, they updated the bios too.

And you'd think that they'd get Nate's last name right!!!

Thanks for sharing the info. I'm totally clueless as to what the next season will be like. One of the commercials says everything will be revealed or something. I hope they clear up this mess the first night.

Possibly every other promo for every other season. I swear, they do this everytime. I'm not even all that excited about this season. It's kind of lost it's excitement, and last season was a disappointment, in my opinion. I'm just watching this season to see what ways they come up with to hide Nancy's belly.

I am right there with you. They always say the same things over and over again. And I agree that last season was quite a let down. It wasn't exciting, with the exception of a few episodes. The show was dragging on during season three, and from the promos, season four doesn't look all that exciting either. I hope it's better than last season. The writers are really losing their touch.

I want to see how they hide Nancy's belly too. It was funny watching them try to hide Lisa's.

I thought last season was great...they focused on all the characters...not just one...:)

I wasn't a huge fan of Teddy and Jinny but they did have a "entertaining" relationship. Since i saw the episodes again it was a good chemistry so i started to like the realtionship even more. I would love to see Teddy come back and maybe try and get back together with Jinny since i would love to hear her say "I'm married" but since i think she's getting divorced she wouldn't say that but still i would love to see Teddy again. (he's really cute!)

Jay and Nancy did have great chemistry. I used to be against the Jinny and Teddy relationship and I didn't like Teddy all that much, but when his character just suddenly disappeared [what the hell was that all about?] I kind of missed him. And then when they introduced Jack, I realized just how good Teddy was for Jinny. Jack and Jinny, or should I say Dean and Nancy, have no chemistry. I feel like their acting in scenes they have together is forced. It doesn't flow freely like it did with Jay and Nancy. Also, the character of Jack just doesn't sit well with me. The thing is with Jack, he has experienced alcohol addiction and he knows about drugs, so whenever Jinny was bogged down he went all "expert" on her and acted as a counselor and treated her like a patient. But with Teddy, he didn't have any experience with problems like that - he was just a normal guy who loved his girlfriend and wanted her to be happy, and whenever Jinny got down, he treated her like a human being. And that is one of the reasons why Teddy is good for her. But they just suddenly got rid of Jay. I know he was going to another show and that they were going to recast his character, but it was a great loss and they didn't even give us an explanation for his sudden departure. That really angers me. I have no idea what the hell is wrong with the writers, but they haven't been doing things right since the beginning of season three. They just aren't giving us the best and I can't help but feel that there is something missing from the show. I have to watch it though. It's still my show and I feel obligated to be know what's going on with our SFPD inspectors. But I am just really disappointed. And I doubt that season four will make up for season three because they are getting rid of Tracey, and I absolutely love CD. It really upsets me and I know it upsets many others because CD seemed to be a favorite among fans, especially with her and Nate's storyline. And they have already gotten rid of three main characters and added three new ones, and that's not a good thing. I've seen it happen to ER: Characters are gotten rid of, new characters are introduced. Cast changes can be really aggrivating, and I don't want The Division to turn into the train wreck that is ER.

Here's to hoping that season four is an improvement [even though I'm sure it won't be because CD won't be around].

Oh so true. The first two seasons I was insanely obsessed. Sitting on pins and needles. Watching the seconds on the clock tick away in anticipation for every episode. Crazily taping every episode and freaking out if I missed a second of it.

Now I kinda role with it. I still watch and tape, but I don't watch and rewatch over and over. Nor do I storm to the computer to analyze every word everyone says. TD still has great fans, but all the ones it started out with have lost a lot of enthusiasm, including me. It came back towards the end of last season a bit with Nate and C.D, but now I don't know. I still have hope C.D. will return. Hopefully writing will insanely improve. I'll watch, just not as intrigued about everything as in the past.
