Hey y'all, a few night ago on the 12 or 12:30 a.m. showin' of "The Nanny", Fran was in a bridal shop or somethin' (can't remember who was with her), and at one point she looks off to the side off camera and says that somebody's somethin' (wedding pictures, maybe??)..."look like 'Mama's Family'."

MF is my FAVorite show, and I was wonderin' if a big "Nanny" fan could please tell me exactly what Fran said? (I was on the computer at the same time, but when I heard MF my head snapped around, lol). It's rare to hear MF references on sitcoms!

I know she said "The wedding pictures looked like 'Mama's Family.' I think she was referring to Prince Charles and Diana, b/c she was talking to Maxwell's mother at the time. I do know, however that this was an in-joke because the director of "The Nanny" is Dorothy Lyman, who was on "Mama's Family" (I'm sure you knew that!).

Thanks, Kristen! :) I'm not sure how exactly the "royal wedding" pictures look like "Mama's Family", but hey, I'll take whatever reference I can get! lol :p

And yep, I knew that Dorothy Lyman (MF's Naomi) directed a couple or few seasons of "The Nanny"---I even saw her make a cameo once as a stewardess! :D Maybe that's the one where Mr. Sheffield "took it back"? lol
