View Full Version : Predictions For 2005 tvfanfor1980's 01-06-2004, 09:21 PM Does anybody know predictions for N@N, TBS, TVLand, and Oxygen in 2005? I know a few shows coming. SBTB Geek 01-07-2004, 02:45 AM I think the following sitcoms have a good chance of coming to N@N around 2005 or 2006: Home Improvement- this seems like very good N@N material. It's everything that Nick is looking for, plus, it's currently airing on TBS, for a strange reason shows that air there most of the time end up on N@N. ALF- In 2004 N@N/TV Land will begin to air ALF's new show, "ALF's Hit Talk Show"... I'm sure the demand for "ALF" will rise, and N@N will finally come to it's senses and begin to air the sitcom. A Different World- They seem to be completely infatuated with Bill Cosby, this was one of his best sitcoms, and it's actually good. I just have a feeling it will end up on N@N. Cosby-see above Seinfeld- I don't need an explanation. Saved By The Bell- N@N is following a trend of airing popular late80s/early90s teen sitcoms (in ex.: "Full House," and "Fresh Prince",) and "Saved By The Bell" fits the category, it's possible that they might air it after it's contract with TBS ends. factsoflife 01-12-2004, 12:55 AM Well A Different World is currently on contract by Oxygen. but i'll bet someday it'll be on N@N... I hope that Oxygen starts airing Kate and Allie again, and i'd love to see Murphy Brown again. But it surely wont be leaving N@N. Probably not by 2005, but I think we'll see a second TVLand channel arise sometime before the end of the decade, but Im not sure when. barwars 05-15-2004, 04:08 PM Originally posted by SBTB Geek Seinfeld- I don't need an explanation. Well, thanks to Family Ties and Cheers that's where its going to lead to. A Cosby Free World??? You mean a Modern TV Classic FREE network. barwars 05-15-2004, 10:51 PM Originally posted by LucyFan Well, thanks to Family Ties and Cheers that's where its going to lead to. A Cosby Free World??? How did I oppose it? benjamoon 05-15-2004, 11:27 PM I really doubt "The Cosby Show" being on TVL by 2005... but it most likely will be eventually. Plus, I think "Cheers" fits in well because it covers 50s-80s on that channel and "Cheers" is fine As for "Wings"... I don't think that'll ever go to TVL and if it does it will be for a short time to finish up a N@N contract JT 05-16-2004, 12:06 AM Originally posted by LucyFan Well, thanks to Family Ties and Cheers that's where its going to lead to. A Cosby Free World??? You mean a Modern TV Classic FREE network. What does FT have to do with TCS coming to TVLand? FT only airs twice a day in a late-night slot and you're acting as if it airs four times a day, in the afternoon and primetime. You know, kinda like Leave it to Beaver. Cheers imo does not belong on TVLand. It airs on NAN, and it should be on NAN only. Why should it air four times a day on TVLand, pushing one shows (The Love Boat) that isn't on any other channel, then air four times a night on NAN. It makes no sense at all. Family Ties Forever! 05-16-2004, 12:22 AM Originally posted by LucyFan Well, thanks to Family Ties and Cheers that's where its going to lead to. A Cosby Free World??? You mean a Modern TV Classic FREE network. The only part of your argument I agree with/support is if TCS went to TVLand that would be a downhill move for the network. Seems like you have a personal hatred for FT. It airs late at night and doesn't affect I Love Lucy, so your ongoing argument with FT and Cheers doesn't make sense. No, I didn't mean "Modern" TV Classic Free, I meant Cosby Free that's why I typed Cosby Free not what you typed. It's just your opinion that FT and Cheers are "modern". When is it going to sink in for you that the two shows are TWENTY TWO YEARS OLD. That's not exactly what most would call "recent". Pavan 05-16-2004, 12:26 AM LucyFan, stop bringing back old topics. I've noticed you brought back several. There is no need to do that. And stop instigating on shows like Cosby Show, Family Ties, and Cheers. We get the point, you don't like them, so don't watch. |
