Around the 70th or 75th episode, Whitney Blake seems to be missing from a few episodes. Why was she missing? Was she involved in a contract dispute, or was she ill, or was it something else?
Also, Ann Jillian(n), who played Millie the teenage girl the last season, also appeared on an episode in the George and Dorothy Baxter era. This was not too long before, or not very long after, the episodes without Whitney Blake (most likely after). Jillian plays Rosie’s niece Laurie (or is it Lori? More likely the former). At the start of the episode Jillian is seen holding a little lamb (perhaps inspired by her Bo Peep role in “Babes In Toyland?”) I do not know which episode this was, but it seemed to be early in the 1963-64 season, possibly the season premiere, or perhaps episode #79. This appearance seems to be unlisted in both IMDB and TV Tome.
For a few weeks in 1986 or 1987, I watched VCR taped episodes of”It’s A Living” in which Ann Jillian did not appear, and then immediately after, I watched VCR taped ”Hazel” episodes (from the last season) in which Jillian did appear. I liked the ”Hazel” episodes better, however.
I even found some Internet columns by Ann Jillian. There is a lot of information on her 1960’s career, except there seems to be no information about “Hazel” (or any of her other TV series, for that matter). There also isn’t much about her post-1967 career. There is information about why she changed her name to Ann Jilliann, and later dropped the second “n.” Her husband Andy Murcia also has a column at the same site. Scroll down to the Js--

Finally, an oddity about the "Hazel" theme songs- I remember watching syndicated reruns in the 1970's, and EVERY show used the 1965-66 theme song! Only in the 1980's did I find out that wasn't the only theme song.
