"Any Friend of Diane's" just came on TVLand! :D This is absolutely one of my favorite episodes. Anybody agree?

Yup,
You see 3 couples (they were teamed up by the studio) auditioned for Sam and Diane roles. Fred Dryer (who played Dave) and Julia Duffy (who played Rebecca) were the leading couple for Sam and Diane. At least until they teamed up Shelley and Ted...then it was certain that they were the perfect couple for the role. Ted Danson said "I know the only reason I got Cheers was because of Shelley, I was very lucky to be part of that team, the "Shelley and Ted" team."

Ya know, Sammy said a lot of really sweet things to Diane on the show, but hearing Ted say something sweet about Shelley is nice. :D
