Nick at Night is skipping the series finale of roseanne! I have never seen this, and i've been waiting since Nick at Night started showing Roseanne to see the finale. Does anybody have any idea why this is?
Nick at Night is also skipping the series premeir "Life and Stuff" I am really pissed at Nick at Night for both of these things, again, does anybody have any idea why this is?

I have no explanation. The only thing I can come up with some special in the next couple of months featuring just series finales, because N@N is also skipping the finale of Full House(which is also supposed to air in a week and a half)

:( I hate Nickelodeon. I really wanted to see Roseanne's and Full House's finales. I've been watching everyday so I could catch them. *growl*

I didn't know this. I was looking forward to the finale. I'm glad I'm seeing the Dan affair trilogy though.
What happens now? Does it go back to Season One?

yes it is going back to season one, but they are also skipping the series premier

:o Look guys im about 99% sure that the reason they skipped some of the episodes (I can't stand Nick-at-Nite right now!!!) is because Nick at Nite has a specific way they show each show's episodes. See this time around they showed the premiere right? But they didn't show the finale. So when they start roseanne over and go through the series again they will skip the premiere just like it shows and show the episodes we didn't get to see this time around like roseambo. Oh yea I and i wanted to add that im new here so id liked to say hi to everyone fellow roseanne lover here!!

Wow, N@N has some serious scheduling problems. Why would they show certain episodes and not others. N@N is REALLY pissing me off.

I was a late-comer to Roseanne and I started watching during Season 5 then stopped after Season 8, so it's been nice to catch up on the earlier episodes I missed the first the time around or forgot to watch while it was in non-N@N syndication.

I never watched any of the Season 9 episodes until now (and I agree with those who are:thumbsdow on these episodes, they just don't seem like Roseanne to me.

Anyway, I BADLY want to see the series finale episode because of all the buzz I heard about it, so it bums me out that N@N is skipping over it. I hope David&Dan is right in that they will show it eventually.

Don't worry Lizzybabe I know thats what it is. Trust me I've been watching NandN since I was about 3or4 years old and I know it all too well.;)

They WILL show it eventually. Also, Oxygen airs the show(for those that have it) and they will be around to it in 6 weeks or so... but N@N will be back around in 3 months anyway.

I know... I was saying they will show it sometime(maybe in a special, or the next time they get back around). They showed it in the launch marathon.

Thanks Brent88 - I'll look for it on Oxygen. Since they show four eps a night, N@N will be back to Season 9 in no time, so hopefully they'll show it then.

David&Dan - I hope you're right. I really want to see the series finale.

The whole thing sounds really stupid, but I haven't actually seen it. Nickelodeon didn't buy that episode...and I believe Oxygen didn't either...So if you haven't already seen it you likely never will. It sucks.

N@N DOES HAVE THE FINALE! THEY SHOWED IT DURING THE LAUNCH MARATHON! Now, it's possible, it could have been a one-time deal, because the episode was so horrible, but they should show it.

Well i have seen the finale, when they showed it in the marathon, and i personally thought it was interesting. I didnt understand what they were talking about though, because i never saw the last two seasons of roseanne, but they are bound to show it. I think they will soon, cuz why would they show it then, and not now. I am dying to see it though, since i have watched roseanne since day one and want to see what happens in the end.

I watched the last episode that they nick showed before the finale. I've seen the finale before but it was really strange to watch "were in the money" right after.

They show the last episode of Three's Company usually every time they go through the series. However, I don't believe they show the first episode very often. I remember they used to skip the first episode of the Mary Tyler Moore show too, and they would also skip certain popular episodes of MTM (like Chuckes Bites the Dust) because they were only "allowed" to show that episode a certain number of times or something like that.

I agree completely. Also another thing I notice is how much lower-budget season 1 is after being used to the latter seasons.

They also did this with The Cosby Show and Three's Company by not showing the last episodes. :(

BTW, was the episode with Dan's mom visiting the last episode before the finale two-parters?

I think I read somewhere that N@N and other channels can only show episodes a certain amount of times, so I am assuming that they want to save some of this play time for marathons and specials and the such. They probably dont care much about overplaying some episodes cause they probaby wouldnt fit into a special or marathon like the premier or the finale would.
Thats just my opinion.
I remember watching on TBS and they really didnt have any marathons or specials with Roseanne thats prob why they always showed the finale, but you know N@N they have to overplay some things and underplay others.

N@N is one of the few networks that has a lot of specials and marathons. I personally like the specials.

The last time TBS aried the finale it then showed the Episode where Dan's mom tries to kill him.

The two-part finale for Full House was also skipped on Nick-at-Nite.... :(

My local WB station is showing Roseanne ALSO, and they're a season behind, so I will see soon for the end of season 9 to see if the finale will air. Crossing my fingers here. ;)
