8 Simple Rules ... (2002- )
Less Than Perfect (2002- )
Reno 911 (2003- )
A Minute with Stan Hooper (2003- )

I never really watched network sitcom these days until 8 Simple Rules came along. But now because of 8SR, I also like these:

8 Simple Rules
I'm With Her
According to Jim
My Wife & Kids
Hope & Faith
George Lopez
It's All Relative
Regular Joe (short-lived)

Everything else is pretty much garbage, sitcoms were much better pre-90's (actually everything before 1993/94 or so was decent).

As far as best sitcoms go, the only one that comes to mind is 8 Simple Rules (2002-2003).
There are other shows that are great such as Arrested Developement, Malcolm in the Middle, and Curb, but those shows aren't sitcoms.

I consider them to be comedies not sitcoms. I read somewhere that said Arrested Development isn't a sitcom. It's alright if u want to call it a sitcom, but I just believe that those shows (Arrested, Malcolm, Curb) are the opposite of a sitcom. The anti-sitcom rather.

Curb Your Enthusiasm (1999 [special]-present)
The Office (2001-2002, Christmas Special in 2003)
That's My Bush! (2001)
Action (1999-2000)
Arrested Development (2003-present)

AKA, The King of Queens premiered in 1998, so it doesn't count.

I've got to choose "Less Than Perfect," and "Oliver Beene." "8 Simple Rules..." hasn't been much of a sitcoms since the death of John Ritter. I get the feeling I should get into "Arrested Development."

Well, let's see... what shows has FOX cancelled the past five years? Oh. Now I remember.

Greg the Bunny
Andy Richter Controls the Universe
The Tick
Action
Undeclared
Normal, Ohio
Grounded for Life
Titus (season 1, some of season 2)

Also...

Stark Raving Mad
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Coupling
AmeriCoupling (yes, AmeriCoupling)
Malcolm in the Middle (NOT the current season!)
Grosse Pointe
Son of the Beach
Reno 911
The Job
Watching Ellie (season 1 -- season 2 was vomitous)

And four shows which may not be in the same league as most of those above, but which I can certainly relate to and always enjoy watching my tapes and DVDs of...

Yes, Dear
It's All Relative
Madigan Men
The Fighting Fitzgeralds

No Recess

I can only think of one since the "Y2K", and that is State of Grace. That is the second coming of The Wonder Years!

People her actually mentioned Less Than Perfect! It's the best sitcom on tv right now, IMHO. The cast clicks, the scripts are great and everything seems to work. Even when things fall flat, the actors seem to know how to wring every last laugh out of it.

George Lopez is another show that keeps getting better and better

Watching Ellie was so original when it premiere. Then it got "retooled" for the second season and was absolutely horrible! Whatever originality the show displayed, NBC sucked right out of it.
