why do people get so passionate about their Idol? HELLO. IT'S STAR SEARCH FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM!!! I don't remember people being so passionate about SS when it aired in the 80's and early 90's

because star search sucked and we weren't in charge of who won.

yea... but everyone makes A.I. out as this political thing. It's utter and total bull.

When Tamyra lost, some people felt the need to cry racism because it's hard to comprehend some people think there already is enough 8-octave r&b "divas" out there anyways. I'm not a big Kelly fan, but I'm glad she won because I liked her singles, whereas Tamyra probably would've given us another formulamatic dull guest-filled 2003 r&b album.

And look at the way Clay and Ruben fans fight to the death. When surprisingly, there are a lot of people out there who frankly can care less about either of them. This Clay/Ruben rivalry isn't quite as fun to watch as Britney/Christina, Madonna/Janet or Michael/Prince... neither Clay or Ruben are as good as any of those IMO. Yet their fans keep throwing mud at each other, forgetting neither of them will probably still be big in 5 years.
