i was wondering...is it true that dan dies?...i mean i have only seen some of the roseanne episodes...ive only been watching for two years and alot were repeats

Dan didn't die in any actual episode, although Roseanne said in her monologue in the final episode that the 'real' Dan died when he had the heart attack at Darlene's wedding. That is why Roseanne the 'author' wrote about Dan having an affair, because in the same way she felt cheated by his death and him leaving her. I think that's right, admittedly things with Roseanne are a bit confusing in light of the finale.

No, he didn't on the show. The 9th season was a convulated mess.

No... he was out of the hospital when Darlene had her baby. His heart attack was at Darlene and David's wedding reception. He went to California to care for his sick mother and had the affair after his heart attack. After a few weeks, when he came back, Roseanne and Dan finally started to make up and when they did, Jackie called saying Darlene had been rushed to the hospital.
