Well I finally got to see the pilot episode of Cheers tonight. It never dawned on me to wonder how Diane came into the picture...I just sort of always pictured her in the bar.

Anyhow I just wonder, where was Frasier? When did he come into the show?

Frasier first appeared in September, 1984, during the show, at the beginning of the show's third season.

Adding on to AKA. Frasier was Diane's shrink/lover. She originally brought him to the bar to help Sam get over the booze problem he slipped into after he and Diane split up.

I've always thought that as far as pilots go, it's pretty good

but it WAS that good of a joke.

I know!! I can't wait to see season 2 to see how much they really edited out!!!

Most pilots stink, but Cheers was good.....IMO

Yeah cheers had a great pilot!

I adore "Give Me a Ring Sometime"! It's actually one of my favorite episodes of Cheers. Every single character was fully developed from day one. :D

Now, I've got my TiVo set up to record all the TVLand episodes...the Diane ones...the GOOD ones...;)
