About 3:15 PST today, I'll be crying as I do every year on this anniversary. Music didn't die with Buddy Holly, it died with Rick Nelson.

The last song on the last night's concert was "Rave On" after which, he said, "Rave on for me". I will, and I do. Miss you, Rick!

Thanks for reminding me of this anniversary---I'd almost forgotten. But I do remember hearing the news that night, and not wanting to believe it.

I remember it all to well myself. I was about 7 years old at the time. There is a longer story but I'll cut off now and not bore you with it.

How time flies.

My granny died on the same day........I didn't even cry at all.

She was a distant memory like daddy.

OH Nuts!

After reading the two bios written on Rick, I felt especially sad that his talent was never fully appreciated & that he had such hard times after the O&H series ended. He certainly deserved better.

I'm glad his kids play his songs. They're great songs.

(Yep, I'm a Rick Nelson fan too!)

what are you people talking about? 18 years? It's been 22 years since
Rick died. His tragic death was on Dec 31 1985
