"The Mayberry Poem - A Tribute to Mayberry" is accepting new poems and new writers. If you write poetry or blank verse
and have some thoughts about Mayberry or "The Andy Griffith Show" you
would like to share, please send it to

less. Poems can be about the characters, episodes or themes found in

We are working on the 2006 edition of "A Tribute to Mayberry" for publication this spring and are accepting poems about characters, themes and episodes of "The Andy Griffith Show." Poems 24 lines or less are preferred.

Does the composer retain rights to his/her poetry?

Oh, yes, definitely! We publish a notice on the inside cover that reads:

Poets hold individual copyrights to their own poems.

We do hold the right to use the poem on our Mayberry page (http://www.christianactivities.com/mayberry/) where we publish some of the poems as well as in future editions of "A Tribute to Mayberry," but the poet keeps the copyright for any other usage, other publications, etc.
