View Full Version : Washington Redskins Coach Quits
isiahthomas 12-30-2003, 05:07 PM This is very good news. I'm glad he quit cause the Redskins weren't gonna be any good with him. Steve Spurrier had 3 yrs left on his contract. I don't think the Redskins will be any good for a long time no matter who's coaching them. I'm glad Bruce Smith retired after this season.

His system just didn't work in the NFL. Too many great defenses out there.
Now maybe if he was coaching the St. Louis Rams.....

Now maybe if he was coaching the St. Louis Rams..... You maybe right, I never liked Spurrier, never liked his somewhat cocky attitude. I'm glad the redskins are getting a new coach, now I can start rootong for them again!
isiahthomas 12-31-2003, 04:50 PM Even with a new coach, the Redskins are still gonna be sorry for a long time LOL. Until they get a offensive line & a running back, there is no hope for them. Letting Stephen Davis go was a huge mistake.
isiahthomas 12-31-2003, 05:28 PM Redskins are gonna talk to Jim Fassel, Ray Rhodes, Dennis Green about the head coaching job. That's good that they're considering Ray & Dennis who are black & they've been head coaches in the NFL before. Dennis was successful with Minnesota but Ray didn't do that well with Green Bay. Ray is a good defensive coordinator though.

isiahthomas 01-02-2004, 12:42 PM Only white people i don't like are the ones who don't like blacks. Any white person that likes me, i'm cool with them.

you have to admit that the NFL has had problems even interviewing blacks for the head coaching jobs. You don't have to like or dislike a particular race to admit the truth.
EricIdlefan 01-02-2004, 08:32 PM Spurrier is much better at college than the pros and letting go of Davis was a huge, huge, mistake!!
isiahthomas 01-07-2004, 01:08 PM Looks like Joe Gibbs is gonna be the coach of the Redskins. I just saw on Yahoo.com today in the NFL forum that he supposedly has agreed to take the job. If this happens, i know the fans of Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia will be very excited.
EricIdlefan 01-07-2004, 01:12 PM Wonder what will happen to Gibbs and his NASCAR career if he will turn controls over to somebody else, give NASCAR all up, and/or do NASCAR part-time!!??(size 3 text)
