When I was a kid, twenty five years ago, I saw a British show called "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin". I loved that show. Anybody else see this?

'Perrin' was a superb sitcom and followed disillusioned Reggie's life as an executive at Sunshine Desserts, then setting up his own company that sold useless goods, 'Grot', which was an amazing success. Disillusioned yet again, he deliberately destroyed it and opened a commune called Perrins which helped people with all sorts of problems. A great show with a great supporting cast (most with their own catchphrases...."I didn't get where I am today...."), it only ran for 21 episodes in total. In 1996, the BBC made a 7-part series; The Legacy of Reggie Perrin, which brought back most of the old cast minus Rossiter of course, who died in 1984. All 21 episodes of 'The Fall & Rise of Reginald Perrin' are available on DVD in the UK. http://www.mvc.co.uk/MEDIA/CustomProductCatalog/30/03/66/30036657-1IMGSH_30036657-1IMGSH.jpg gggsssaaa 12-30-2003, 11:47 PM Hey, Will the DVD's from UK work in my player in the States? In the U.S. we can only get the series on VHS from Amazon.com. I saw that AmazonUK has the whole thing on DVD but I'm not sure if it will work on my player here in the U.S. Any help? japfles 12-31-2003, 06:24 AM You need a multi-region player. If it isn't, most players can be "hacked" to make them multi-region. There are lots of web sites around which show you how it's done. It usually just involves inputting a code via your remote control unit. |
