Everybody's Somebody's Fool came out in the early 60s I think. The other came out about late 60s-early 70s I think?Did the one that came out after made because of Everybody's Somebody's Fool? The chorus sounds alike. These are the lyrics as far as I rememeber:

Everybody's Somebody's Fool:

Everybody's Somebody's Fool.
Everybody's somebody's plaything.
And yes there's no exception to the rule.

Everybody Plays The Fool:

Everybody plays the fool.
May be factual.MAy be cruel.
Everybody plays the fool.
There's no exception to the rule.

I'm not sure if the lyrics to Everybody Plays The Fool is right, but the parts with the same lyrics are.

I've heard two songs. One by Connie Francis and the other by the Main Ingredient. I thought they have different lyrics also uses that song "Everybody Somebody's Fool", and "Everybody Plays the Fool". Do you know the difference?

I think just the chorus has a couple of the same sentences. The melody is completely different.I'm wondering of Everybody Plays The Fool was written with the inspiration of Connie Francis's Everybody's Somebody's Fool.Is The Main Ingredient the first to record Everybody Plays The Fool? There's more than one version.I know at least two.
