I just started watching the show and I'm wondering how Elizabeth died.

ALL THEY MADE YOU THINK WAS THAT SHE DIED YOUNG. LAMONT ALWAYS STATES THAT HE WAS TOO YOUNG TO REALLY KNOW HIS MOTHER.

i think there was one epsiode where lamont said that she had ben dead for 23 years. if he was 31 or 32, then he should have some memory of her.
never heard any reason for the cause of death.

And her last words were "Don't ever use this doctor..." -
which she uttered to Fred right after "Take care of Lamont..."
