Not sure what you mean by "modern" but I listened to country music a lot in the early to mid 90's. After that I lost interest. Too Cookie Cutter for me!

Me too! I love "Little Moments."

I don't really listen to too much country, and the kind I listen to is more "pop", like Faith Hill or Shania Twain.

The Dixie Chicks are inbetween. The comment stated by Natalie has nothing to do with whether I like them or not! I like some of their songs like "Wide Open Spaces" & "Cowboy take Me Away", etc. But I don't like songs like "Goodbye Earl" or "Sin Wagon."
