I don't know how I overlooked June Carter Cash, especially since Johnny Cash is on the list.

I just found out that British Comedian Bob Monkhouse died. People in the US may not know who he is but he's like the British equivalent of Dick Clark- doing standup every once in a while, clip shows, award shows and new year occassionaly. I didn't even know he was ill- but it says online now he battled bone and prostate cancer for 2 years.

This has been the biggest year for celebrity deaths in my memory.
We lost some American treasures this year like Bob Hope, Katharine Hepburn, Gregory Peck, John Ritter, Johnny Cash, and many, many others. They will be greatly missed.

Let's play America's favorite new game, "What's Wrong With This Sentence." The rules are simple - for 10,000 points, please tell me what's wrong with this sentence!

I'm not being mean. I'm just saying it wasn't the best choice of wording. I'm being a grammar cop.

Add Actor Earl Hindman to the list of deaths. He died December 29th (monday) of Lung Cancer. He was best known as "Wilson" from the hit sitcom 'Home Improvement."

The grammar police isn't only one person -- it's a police force. Rest assured, your title is secure. ;)

In fact, here's your badge.

Aaliyah died in a plane crash in late August 2001. I remember it really well because I'd just turned 16, plus she'd just finished doing work for Seventeen (she was on the cover of the August or September 2001 issue, if I recall correctly). It would help to research a little more before you go around saying "So-and-so died this year" when, in fact, they didn't.

I just read in TV Guide that Terry Lester died November 28. For those of us who watched soaps in the 80's, he was the original Jack Abbott on The Young and the Restless. The article says that he was later on Santa Barbara(which I do remember) and As the World Turns.

Didn't one of the daughters husbands from Roseanne die, or was that 2002?

Edit: Just checked the imdb...it was december 2002.
