Can anybody name any hit songs from movie soundtracks?

I know most of The Bee Gees Hits were from Saturday Night Fever.

Another one is Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head by BJ Thomas from the movie Buch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid.

And Everybody's Talking by Nillson was a big hit from Midnight Cowboy.

Henry Mancini wrote, Moon River, which was made famous in the movie, Breakfast At Tiffanys.

The song, The Days of Wine and Roses, is from the movie of the same name. I don't know which came first. Great classic movie about alcoholism with Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick -- a heartbreaking story.

I forget all about the Mission Impossible movies, since they are so different than everything else Tom's done the past decade IMO.

There are lots of cool songs in the James Bond's movies.

Also, the movie, Pretty Woman, had some great songs.

I remember when MHWGO was played a gazillion times a week. Seeing this I guess it was good that I didn't live through hearing IWALY. I mean hearing a song once in a while is cool but when it is grossly overplayed it's ridiculous.

I've always liked Dolly Parton's version of "I Will Always Love You", anyway. Speaking of Dolly, how about "9 to 5"?

And I surprised nobody mentioned Grease!! "Summer Lovin', You're the One That I Want, Hopelessly Devoted to You", the title track.

Somewhere Over The Rainbow - Wizard Of Oz. Might not be the most popular song, but its well known.

Tequila - Pee Wees Big Adventure. :lol: Ok, wouldnt call it a monster hit song, nor would I call the movie a hit.
