I don`t know, but she seems fine since she`s been posting pretty often on her message board on her Roseanneworld.com website. Its so cool to read that board and see her posting on there. Altho I wish (along with many others there) that someone would get rid of that one rude, disrespectful troublemaker that posts over there... otherwise its a great place.

I saw Roseanne on Jay Leno this past summer, and she looked beautiful....the thinnest I've ever seen her. She looked like she was in her 30s. She joked about all her plastic surgery.
I think she's got the best plastic surgeon on the planet.

I wasn't aware she was having health problems. I hope it's nothing serious.

Has there been something wrong with her? It would be the first I've heard...

Whats a hysterectomy?

Anybody know WHY she needed the hysterectomy? Could be if it was due to cancer or something, the network didn't want to take the risk she'd require followup treatment. It sucks for sure, but that's the way they work. All business and no heart.

Otherwise, I can't see why they didn't just do the balloon therapy on her - she'd be back to work within 24 - 36 hours.

She did look great the last I saw her - as Janice says, younger and thinner than ever.

Something females get that prevents them from having kids.

It's the removal of the internal sexual organs.

As a woman I can say a hysterectomy is the removal of a womans uterus.

I beleive her health is perfectly fine. I mean I seen her on the TVLand awards and she looks really healthy and not really over weight.

Actually, it's a tubal ligation that prevents women from having kids. A hysterectomy (obviously) also will, but is much more invasive and involves the removal of the uterus and sometimes ovaries (equivalent to men's testicals) as well.

It's not a fun procedure and requires approx. 6 weeks of recovery. Today, in some cases, they've come up with a balloon therapy treatment instead that is much less invasive, but the woman can still get pregnant so they require you to be on TWO forms of birth control afterwards as it can be lethal to get pregnant after having one.

Usually women Rosanne's age will require a hysterectomy due to cancer or menopausal problems.

There's your medical lesson for the day!!
