View Full Version : Cheaper by the Dozen
Swimfan85 12-27-2003, 11:58 PM surprisingly, because I cannot stand Hilary Duff, I went to see this movie last night (mainly b/c of Tom Welling and Ashton....but doesnt matter the motives, i saw it) and it was alright, I mean sure it was funny, but I felt that I would have enjoyed it even more if I was a few years younger. As well, Hilary Duff is annoying in the movie, but she has a small role, which is nice
who else has seen it?
Brian 12-28-2003, 02:31 AM It looks like a rental to me. When it is released on home video I'll rent it. I do like Steve Martin's work.
automatic princess 12-28-2003, 11:04 AM It wasn't as funny as I expected it to be but I still enjoyed it. I'd give it 3.5 stars out of 5.
David 12-28-2003, 12:14 PM I'm actually looking forward to seeing this. It has a lot of people I like, such as Tom Welling, Ashton Kutcher, and Bonnie Hunt.
I'll see it, only cuz I'm a big fan of the original (anyone else remember it?) The original was with Clifton Webb, Myrna Loy, and Jeanne Crain. From what I hear this version isn't that loyal to the original, but I'll see it anyway. Sad that Jeanne Crain died just a week after this was released though. :(

Lizzie McGuire 12-28-2003, 10:01 PM Well im want see this movie, well i wait it get on tape or DVD.
Sitcom_Talk_Guy 12-29-2003, 03:01 PM OK, I get Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt in that movie (find them quite funny), but why all the no-talent kids around them? I haven't seen the movie yet (still contemplating), and the reason for that is the kids. They couldn't find better young actors to do that?
Argh!
BlackKitty87 12-29-2003, 07:06 PM I didn`t see it, but on the way out from Mona Lisa Smile, I was standing in the doorway for a lil bit watching it. Maybe it was just at a crappy part, but the 5 minutes I was there, the previews seemed alot better.
dr frasier crane 12-29-2003, 11:47 PM I saw it and thought it was very funny. It's one of the funniest movies I've seen this year. Steve Martin is great! He is one of my favorite actors of all time.
Ewan's My Man 12-31-2003, 12:47 AM I saw that today...I loved it in general but I ESPECIALLY loved Tom Welling, Ashton Kutcher, and OMFG!! JARAD PADELECKI (sp?)!!!! DEAN FROM GILMORE GIRLS! I almost screamed. Ahh...bliss.
Did anyone watch the credits when they were showing the bloopers and Tom and Bonnie were standing in front of the chandelier and she was talking about how they could wrap themselves in duct tape and roll on the floor to clean it up and then he like kissed her...omg...I love him.

TOM WELLING WAS GREAT!
Brent88 12-31-2003, 01:27 PM I think I am going to wait til it comes out on VHS or DVD to watch it.
LucyCompanyPhan 01-02-2004, 03:31 PM sure Tom Wellington is cute, but i don't think his good looks could save this movie. I'm not really interested in seeing this movie, but who knows, i just may end up seeing it (i hope not) It doesn't really look funny to me from the trailers. i mean falling on barf, hanging from the ceiling, ashton kutcher being attacked by a dog....its pretty much any movie you see. I don't see anything great about it. oh and one more thing, ashton kuthcher being attacked by a dog....i think i've seen that in like 2 ashton kutcher movies. if hes gonna d comedy, he needs to stop doing the same things in his movies.

Wow she's short...
Sorry, just an observation...
EricIdlefan 01-04-2004, 05:45 PM My parents were kids when they saw the original and the previews to the new one is supposed to be funnier with Steve Martin!!
-*Leah*- 01-05-2004, 12:59 AM I dunno. I really want to see it, because it has such a great cast, but Hilary? I dunno if I can take watching her for almost 2 hours...
SBTB Geek 01-06-2004, 04:01 AM It was a good family movie. Hilary Duff made it easier to watch.
Brent88 01-09-2004, 08:37 PM Dang! She is short... didn't realize Hilary was that short.
She is so hot though.
Chad22 01-09-2004, 10:54 PM I Liked it. Alot of funny moments and it was a Good Family Movie.
david&maddie4ever 01-10-2004, 04:07 PM I saw it yesterday with some friends, and I thought it was adorable! :biglove: I'm not a big fan of physical comedy, so I was worried about this one, but it wasn't that at all. Really cute. :p
BTW: I loved the bloopers, especially the one where Tom kisses Bonnie! That was really funny, but kinda gross. I mean, she was supposed to be his mother!
