Starting next monday (december 29th), Newhart will air two times a day (7h30 & 13h30) on the Comedy Network, here in Canada.
I will at last have the chance to put all the episodes of that great show on DVD.

If these air uncut, in their entirety, I'd be very interested in purchasing these episodes.

Well I'm not sure that they'll be uncut. The first episode ran for 25:53, so I suppose that it was complete. The second one ran for 22:23, wich is 3 minutes less than the 1st one. Was is cut ? I don't know, but it sure looks like it.

Anyhow, it's the same episode that airs on the two time slots each day, so it will take around 9 months to complete the entire collection (184 episodes). And that's presuming that the Comedy Network shows all those episodes.

The way I see it, I will be able to fit 6 episodes on each DVD, and I intend to keep the episodes grouped by season. That means 4 DVDs by season, for a total of 32 DVDs.

I'll keep you informed of my progress.

Completed the first season on DVDs. There's 22 episodes on 3 DVDs, with menus and chapters. All the commercials were taken out. On with season 2....

Bob Newhart is my favorite and too bad that he didn't have a third hit series like Michael Landon!!

Anyone having or able to tape this episode of Newhart for me...I would be grateful throughout eternity!
