History buffs like to complain that that Korean War lasted only three years, yet "M*A*S*H" somehow had four Christmas episodes! Not quite. It had three Christmas episodes and. . .one Boxing Day episode!

In "'Twas the Day After Christmas," visiting British oficers tell Hawkeye, B.J., and the rest about Boxing Day, and how the British upper class celebrates it by trading places with their servants. At Kilnger's urging, Colonel Potter has officers trade places with enlisted men and junior officers. Kilnger runs the camp, Colonel Potter is his clerk, Hawkeye and B.J. clean out bedpans, and Charles has to help prepare meals in the mess hall.

At the end of the episode, Potter realizes how hard it is to run an office, Klinger is aware of the responsiblities of running a whole Army unit, and Charles has a greater appreciation for Army food!
Funny episode!

Happy Boxing Day,everyone! Don't forget to give something to the postman! :) ;)
