I notice how much people seem to hate Beverly Ann. I will confess when I was a kid, I did not accept the show without Charlotte, but as an adult when Nick aired the reruns a few years ago, I realized these episodes rocked. Season 8 is one of the best seasons they ever had. They were all older, wiser and I think the show had come full circle. Season 9 was another story... but I think the first season with Cloris was almost as good as seasons 2, 3 and 5.

I also didn't like Beverly Ann at first, but after I saw her, years later, she made me laugh so hard I cried. Cloris Leachman is a wonderful actress, and I feel her talent on The Facts of Life is not appreciated by many fans. I actually think she is the funniest actress/character on the show during the whole 9 seasons. I love her.

i always liked beverly ann too. i thought she was funny! i think the reason everyone didnt like her is because she replaced mrs garrett. and mrs garrett is pretty irreplacable:)

This is true...

I have nothing against Cloris Leachman...more power to her...

I just thought Beverly Ann had this annoying habit of rambling on and on forever. That gets on my nerves a bit.

To tell you the truth,I only liked Beverly in two episodes though
in ''Fast Food, she was funny when she was gasping for water
when she ate chips and salsa, and in ''Golden Oldies.'' when
she answered the phone whenever the doorbell rang.
