I've just started this thread so everyone can remember loved ones who have died this year. You can choose to put down their name or not, or just type a little something. So many people may have lost people this year- and we should pray for all the souls I think. You can also choose to pray for a celebrity that has died- this all about everyone on the boards praying for each others loved ones;

This year my great aunt died, we weren't particularly close but I feel she must be remembered.

My aunt's mother in law died after fighting cancer too.

Yeah...

I lost my maternal grandpa to a severe heart attack in January of 1997 (only 3 weeks after Xmas :(). Rest in peace.

I lost a cousin, whom I was close to, in September of 1999. She left behind two kids, both under the age of 7. Her baby daughter just turned 5 about two weeks ago - I always think about them this time of the year, because they have a dad but no mom. :( Rest in peace, Melanie...My family and I all still miss you.

And lastly but not least, rest in peace, John Ritter. You were a wonderful actor, and I still miss you...I've always loved watching Three's Company and always will. I loved all the movies I've seen you in. :)

Both of my Grandfathers of course, who died when I was really little. My mom's dad died only a few days after Christmas about 12 years ago...my mom says she remembers how it was rainy out just like it is this year. I wish I could have gotten to know them both. They seemed like such awesome people. :(

Around 1997 my cousins lost a cousin in a car accident and she was only about 16 or 17 I think. I remember them coming over to my Grandmas in tears because they were so close to her (they were 18) I remember her two, kind of.

A friend of mine's Grandparents...her Grandmother I never met...she died before we were born, but her Grandfather I remember being really nice and funny...he died around 1999.

And of course John Ritter, I don't think I've ever really been hit that hard by a celebrity death before. He was a really awesome person :(

I want to remember my mother who died in October of 2002. This is my 2nd Christmas without her. Its really hard this time of year because Christmas was her favorite holiday and she used to go all out for it.:(
I also want to remember my 4 Grandparents. R.I.P. I've never forgotten you.
I've also lost an uncle and an Aunt. Although they have been gone for years I had to mention them.
As for celebrities John Ritter was the hardest to take probably because it was so sudden and the fact that I've followed his career since the Waltons. It felt like I lost a member of my family. The only other celebrity that hit me hard was Bob Hope. I know he was old and it was expected but it saddens me that the world will no longer hear his laughter. Thanks for the memories Bob.

I'd like to remember my maternal grandmother, who has been gone for almost 10 years. She and I were very close and I miss her so much, especially during the holidays. There are other family members I'd like to remember, and close friends I've lost along the way. :(

John Ritter.. he is someone I would certainly like to include because I grew up watching him, and he was always one of my very favorites. We will never forget him, that gentle smile he had nor the incredible talent he was blessed with.

My sister in Russia has cancer right now, and it hasn't been improving. I'm hoping that she can come here to Canada to get treatment. I wrote a letter to the Minister of Health in Québec, hoping that she can recieve medicare soon. It is a very stressful for me right now. I am so afraid that she may be denied. My friends tell me not to think negative, but I have not recieved an answer yet, and I wrote this letter 2 months ago, and I am extremely worried right now.

I would like to say that I miss my Aunt Margaret a lot. She died earlier this year after suffering from cancer for over 10 years. She was an amazing person, and I miss her a lot. RIP.:(

Thankfully, nobody close to me died this year.

There were 2 of my co-workers who died in separate accidents this year. I didn't know either of them very well, but it's still a reality check.

John Ritter's death was a kick in the stomach for alot of us. We lose somebody great like John, who has touched so many lives, but then we still have ***holes like O.J. Simpson & Mike Tyson here on earth. Happy Holidays!!

I Love Carol Burnett!
