View Full Version : What Would Happen... (Shampoo Question)
Chad22 12-24-2003, 01:22 AM I Dont know if anybody knows this or not, But out of curiosity...What would happen if someone were to use an entire Bottle of Shampoo On their hair in ONE Bath or shower? Would their hair look really good, Or would it mess it up, Or do something else?
Hollow 12-24-2003, 01:27 AM it would probably just be really clean, i ususally use more than im supposed to. and i use about 1/3 of the bottle when i use conditioner.

I think it would mess up your hair. You see, your hair can only take so much. If you used a whole bottle of shampoo in one shower, that's a lot of chemicals being put into your hair. It doesn't need that much. lol
But...I use a lot of conditioner too because I like my hair to be soft and healthy.
webuster 12-24-2003, 06:33 AM Probably just really clean hair- a biology teacher said when you wash your hair lots your 'clean' hair is actually dead hair.
I'm a little crazy and mixed all the different types of shampoo, conditioners and other things and put it on my hair. Your hair is real clean- but for an hour or so there's a reddishness to your hair.
bandito 12-24-2003, 06:56 AM You would Probably have squeaky clean hair. But who in their right mind would use a whole bottle anyway?
Tuesday Weld 12-24-2003, 01:49 PM I would think it would dry your hair out,a lot, maybe make it brittle.I could be wrong, though,it may do nothing. :o

Someone with really, Really, REALLY long AND thick hair.
I saw a thing on, I think it was, Sally or Maury in 1998 or 1999, where they had a bunch of teens that REALLY hated their hair wanted to do something about it, and there was a girl on there that had AWFUL hair - it was REALLY curly, REALLY thick and REALLY long. She had to use an entire bottle of shampoo just to wash her hair. :(

¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 12-24-2003, 04:31 PM It wouldnt do anything. Kinda like when they say to lather, rinse, and repeat.. repeating doesnt do anything- it just makes you use up their product faster, thus resulting in you buying them in half the time. But too much of a good thing can be bad. Such as conditioner. You're only supposed to use like a pea size to dime size on hair (depending on length). You dont wanna condition it too much.. itll way it down and take out the volume.

PEA SIZE?! ARE YOU CRAZY?! A quarter- to half-dollar-size usually does it for me.

there is no way in hell using a dime size of conditioner is gonna work for me. i need like 1/4 of the friggan bottle cause my hairs so long.
Nanny Fine 12-24-2003, 11:14 PM I dont think anything would happen except you'd have an empty bottle.
My daughter has hair down past her butt and between us we use at least 3 bottles of conditioner a week. Shampoo lasts us much much longer.
Experiment and see what happens if you use a whole bottle of shampoo at once. :D
Georgia's on my Mind 12-24-2003, 11:38 PM i used to wash my hair twice a day...but lately, i havent used any shampoo in my hair...just water...cause dirty hair is easier to style..so i only wash it like twice a week....yeah..and when i wash it, i use A LOT of shampoo.

Yeah..overwashing your hair will dry it out so youre supposed to do it every other day.
