Does anyone have reel-to-reel tapes?

My fiancé managed to snatch a Reel-to-Reel tape deck from a friend who works at a radio ststion here in Montréal. I think it's a quadraphonic tape deck, because it has four level meters. We only have blank tapes for it, and they are very expensive to buy. :)

I have lots of reel-to-reel tapes that my uncle gave me at one time. My uncle lives in Florida. I also have a reel-to-reel tape recorder. I thought this reel tapes that the one that used in the recording studio and possibly at numerous radio stations. I have Scotch, Ampex, Maxell and other kinds of reel-to-reel tapes.

BrooklynGuy:

If you can find a 4-Track Reel-To-Reel tape deck, and you own a DVD player, then I suggest that you try to purchase some DVD Audio discs, and record them to Reel-To-Reel. They sound absoultely super in Quadraphonic Sound.

Just a suggestion. ;)

Thanks! I already have a reel-to-reel tape recorder that I can make music. I also have a DVD player too. I can record audio commetaries on reel since I could make anything new. As I said, I have a old Sony reel tape recorder and the left channel was broken. I hope that I will look for it in a number of flea markets if I could find it.
