ET is reporting that, JAMES GARNER tripped and fell while taping an episode of ABC's "8 Simple Rules" on Friday. As a precaution, the 75-year-old actor was taken across the street to Providence St. Joseph's hospital where he was treated for a bruised hip, according to sources. Garner came on-board the series to play KATEY SAGAL's dad after the sudden death of JOHN RITTER in September.
