I thought Brett Favre showed a lot of guts going out and playing football after such a tragic loss of his father. He had one of the best perfomances in his career in the NFL.

You're right that does take a helluva lot of guts. I read that his family encouraged him to keep playing to maintain his streak of 204 consecutive starts.

The team needed him, it would have been selfish of him not to play. BUt he had a whale of a game. I dont know if that means those past excuses about his injured thumb were wrong or not.

Brett Favre played great last night. He really showed a lot of guts. I don't know if I could have done it.

Brett showed guts and courage and showed he was a real, real, teamplayer despite the circumstances he was under!!

I give Brett a lot of credit. His father's death was so sudden which makes it even more incredible that Brett was able to play.

I read once that Frank Sinatra was scheduled to perform to a sold-out crowd in Las Vegas in the 70s. Just before showtime, he learned his mother was killed in a plane crash, yet he still performed.

I don't think I could do it, but nobody really knows until they're in that position I guess.

I always respected Farve as a great QB, this just solidified that feeling.

No doubt he is a stud, just look at his consecutive starts!
