Hi! I'm kind of confused with this whole movie thing. I've been hearing (ofcourse I think all of us have) about the new movie with Jessica Simpson. Well, I'd seen the Hollywood Squares with Barbara Eden twice each show and I taped it, and when I saw it again I noticed they talked about Barbara Eden being in the new Sony movie (I'm pretty sure that's what they said). Does anyone know about this or what character Barbara Eden will be? Thanks!

Jessica Simpson has apparently revealed that she has been talking to
Columbia Pictures about starring in a feature remake of I Dream of Jeannie. The original 1960s comedy series starred Larry Hagman as Captain Anthony
Nelson who discovered a mysterious bottle after getting stranded on a desert island. He opened it and released genie Jeannie (Barbara Eden) who he takes back home after getting rescued.




I can't believe they're only making her a saleswoman!! GRRR!! I was expecting a better character!! by the way, is it Columbia or is it Sony?

Wow. LOL I feel so ignorant. I really didn't start keeping track of IDOJ news until May(when it started on TV Land). I've always loved it, since I was young and first saw it on Nick at Nite, but after they stopped it there I was still too young to know about info and all that stuff, and when I finally got a computer about 6 years ago I just didn't think of looking for info. Anyway, I didn't know they'd been planning it for such a long time, and I didn't know Columbia and Sony were one (again feeling ignorant). Thanks for the info! Happy Holidays!
