Lange, who won two Emmys for playing the lead in "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir," and earned an Oscar nomination for her supporting role in the 1957 film "Peyton Place" died Friday at Saint John's Health Center after suffering an infection caused by an intestinal inflammation.

This is so sad! No matter what people say about her chemistry with DVD on NDVD, I thought she was great on the show. I also enjoyed her in the movie "Peyton Place," where she plays Serena Cross, a young woman who is raped by her stepfather and then kills him. Hopefully, this is the last celebrity death of the year. RIP Hope:(

More recently, she appeared on the screen in "Blue Velvet" in 1986, and in the 1994 thriller "Clear and Present Danger," in which she played a senator.
