 party: It may not get better for the Knicks but it can't get any worse. They say Isiah Thomas is taking over.

How many times did Isiah lead his former team as coach to the play-offs??

Led the Pacers to the Playoffs in each of his three seasons.
Posted records of 41-41, 42-40 and 48-34.

He's not picked as Knicks coach just yet, they're just bringing him to replace Layden, not Chaney

Which moves, the Knicks dumping Layden and hiring Isiah? Or the Pacers dumping Isiah?

I would say the Pacers dumping Thomas has worked out quite nicely for the Pacers. :D

I think Chaney will go eventually. What might be nice, is after Doc Rivers finishes his commentators job this season, the Knicks bring him in as coach next season, hire John Starks as an assistant coach. That'll at least get fans slightly interested in coming out to see the team again, they like supporting guys who had a nice history with the team. But I wouldn't be surprised if Isiah Thomas becomes head coach either.

Chaney will go and Doc is doing a pretty good job as a commentator but is no ace commentator like the ones on TNT!! Fans will get hyped up!! Hopefully supporting guys will be teamplayers instead of a "one-man" show-offs!!(size 3 text)
