View Full Version : Should "Wings" Make The Move Too?

Here's a thought....

It's obvious that TV Land is going the way of NICK AT NITE by shoving aside older B&W shows of the 1950's and 60's to make room for more recent series of the 1970's, 80's and even 90's...only not as radically.

"Cheers", "All In The Family" and "Family Ties" will be leaving NICK and moving to TV Land starting the first of the year (actually, "Family Ties" left NICK months ago).

I was thinking...Do you think that "Wings" would be better served and showcased on TV Land instead of NICK?

It just seems to me that "Wings" has the classic style of writing and characters that TV Land has the reputation for....much more so than the current NICK AT NITE.

I'd like your thoughts on this....I could really see "Wings" fitting right in with the other TV Land series and possibly be more of an asset THERE than on NICK. (Even though both TV Land and NICK are owned by the same company, there DOES seem to be a definite "image" difference between the two cable networks!).

Nah I'd rather it not be on TVLAND OR N@N at all. :) I read that Cheers and AITF were going to TVLAND for something called the Family Table. Pavandabal posted a thread about it in the general discussions folder :)

I would rather wings on a network like TBS or TNT. TBS seems to value the shows they air, and doesn't treat them like dirt like some stations do(hint, hint) LOL! :)

I'd like to see it on local affiliates too. My local FOX station airs three episodes of The Simpsons a night, and while I adore The Simpsons, I wouldn't mind seeing one or two of those airings replaced with other TV shows.

I think Wings would be great on TV Land. On TV Land, Wings might be on 4 times a day in time-slots before 3am.

Im Not so sure of that. When I Used to watch The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air On TBS They aired all the episodes out of order, Skipped Right from the Middle of one season to the next one, Basically just aired random episodes everyday. Nick At Nite may Skip an episode here and their and the timeslots pretty Bad, But TBS Would be alot worse In My Opinion.

Its a bit too young for TV Land too. I Just Wish Nick At Nite would treat it with better respect.
