I always watch this (and tape it) each year, but this year it wasn't worth the effort with all the repeats so closely together. You would think that whoever put together the programming for this special would realize that if a viewer watched a show at 5:30PM, they wouldn't want to watch it again at 8:00PM. Of course this is just my opinion, and maybe it works for others, it just doesn't for me.
At one point they had All in the Family (2 shows) and Sanford and Son (1 show) repeat with an hour break! In fact, they did this several times with other shows!!
I understand that maybe they only had the rights for so many shows, but how about mixing them up a bit? I ended up watching only a few shows this year. I ended up surfing the channels and finding other holiday shows and never came back.
Lately I have to wonder what is going on with the scheduling at NAN and TV Land, especially for a holiday weekend like this one (for TV Land). What a HUGE disappointment it was this year. Oh well, many of the other stations have had lots of great holiday programming and they don't REPEAT their shows within an hour of each other!
