The episode itself was average. ------------------ Andrew Carden coily2 05-03-2001, 07:55 AM Maybe I'm a cynic, but this episode bugged me. It was very sad and very touching BUT - - The whole Blair b-day subplot was poorly done.... I think its sad when 18 year olds need to be potrayed as feeling old. But Brenda's presence cheered me up! - I love Jo and all, but dude, sometimes she is just a selfish little punk. Sorry, but in this episode, she was hard to like and hard to feel sorry for. - Gayle was 26? Yeah, maybe in 1972.... If that actress was under 35, I'll eat my hat. This episode was one of the weaker links from season 4. Too bad that N@N is airing some of the worst episodes this time around http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif Oh well.... Gamma Gamma or Bust is on Monday. At least we've got that one to look forward to. I can hardly wait.. and this is te first time since like February that i have been on nerves all day waiting for thsi episode.. i know i have it on tape, but it's just better seeing it on tv because i have no choice but sit through the entire episdoe waiting for the good part to come along! haha.. and you guys are gonna LOOOOVEEE Gamma Gamma or Bust!! it's one of my favorite all time episodes!!! haha!! I love how Blair is such a bitch in it.. anyway.. Toodle Pip! Peekskill citizen 05-03-2001, 07:52 PM i thought this episode was awesome! it's in my top ten. It is so sad and funny! Anyways, just my opinion. Let's party is an awesome episode too. I like Nat's reaction after what happens! ------------------ All right that was Mr.S the mean steen and I'm keen Nat Green rockin' down the clock and talkin' you round the block. Your turn. - Natalie (Talk,Talk,Talk) Edna lends an ear, tell me your troubles and never fear, how may I help you? -Mrs.G (Talk,Talk,Talk). Oh yeah tell that to the frog, go on say it to his face, you can't can you, know why because he hasn't got a face Tootie, it been chopped off! - Blair Cokies 05-03-2001, 09:15 PM Ha, ha! There was no way that teacher was 26... like coily said "Yeah maybe in 1972". The part that's funny, that's not supposed to be is when Mrs. G tells Jo " She's Dying!" right during the singing of Happy Birthday. God, that gets me crackin' all the time http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif It was a tad bit too melodramatic for me, I guess. I always liked this episode to a point, it's alright. Not one of Jo's finer moments, if I might say... ------------------ "It was just like Saturday Night Fever, only it was a Friday." Plus Gayle did not look 26 to me. JMPolniaczek15 05-04-2001, 09:12 PM No, Gayle didn't look 26, but who cares? I thought it was really sad - really tugs at my heartstrings just to think about it. Cokies, I know what you mean about things being too melodramatic, but I don't htink that was the case here. I thought it was well done. Gemini_89 02-14-2016, 10:50 PM I loved it! I especially love the scene where Tootie confronted Jo because she came home late. |
